Stayed for 1 night in August with our 2 dogs. The hotel itself was friendly, helpful, and the food was outstanding, lots of choice and an interesting menu, well cooked and good value. The accommodation for us, as we had dogs, was in The Cabin, in the car park, which turned out to be a very small wooden chalet, probably about 10sq mtrs in total. It was clean, fairly comfortable, the shower was adequate, had wi-fi and was very quiet, but we found it too small for comfort. The location was good with a beach directly opposite. The restaurant was full and I would recommend pre-booking a table. We visited The Mull of Galloway which was excellent, good cafe there, and Castle Kennedy Gardens beautiful grounds to walk, dog friendly, both were close to this hotel.

We stayed March one night, room 4. Thought we had a shower in the ensuite, but only a bath, no big deal to us. Bed comfy, room had everything we needed and was clean and nicely decorated etc, with a seaview. Car park at rear. As a hotel, the place could do with a bit updating here and there...just little things like a noisy, sticking sliding door to the bathroom, for example, making a racket at night. But overall it has a nice, homely feel, great staff and great food in the restaurant, we would stay again!

Hotel situated facing the beautiful Luce Bay with spectacular sun rises. Hotel was small but comfortable & the food was excellent. Perfect for a long weekend or a longer stay.

The restaurant attached to the hotel and the staff are the only redeeming feature.
