⭐☆☆☆☆ I feel the need to share my extremely negative experience at the Palace Hotel in Milano Marittima, Italy. I booked through Booking.com and paid €1500 in advance for 5 nights, expecting a luxurious and relaxing stay. What I found was the complete opposite – the room was stuffy, smelled heavily of nicotine, and was so bad that I felt physically ill. When I asked to switch rooms, I was offered an even worse one – smaller, darker, and just as unpleasant. Finally, I was shown a more acceptable room, but the hotel demanded an outrageous €700 per night to stay in it! I had no real choice, and after negotiation I agreed to pay an additional €300 just to avoid sleeping in the previous rooms. To make matters worse, the hotel advertises a “private beach” as part of the offer, but everything is charged separately – from sunbeds and towels to a “comfort” area at €60 per day. The beach restaurant is of very poor quality, yet the prices are absurdly high. It feels like they overcharge for everything while delivering very little in return. The only positive side is the kindness of the hotel staff, who tried to help, but the management and hotel policy are simply unacceptable. This is not a five-star experience – it’s a tourist trap. If you’re looking for real value and hospitality, look elsewhere.

I had no choice but to negotiate and pay an extra €300 just to survive the rest of the stay. The scam doesn’t stop there. The hotel advertises a “private beach” – what they don’t tell you is that everything on that beach is charged separately: sunbeds, towels, umbrellas, and a so-called “comfort zone” that costs €60 per day. The beach restaurant? An insult to guests – overpriced, low quality food that would be unacceptable even in a cheap roadside diner. Let me be very clear: • This is not a 5-star hotel by any standard. • The rooms are disgusting and the prices are absurd. • The hotel deliberately misleads guests with false advertising. • The management is running a money trap disguised as a luxury stay. The only redeeming factor was the front desk staff, who were polite and tried their best, but it’s clear they’re powerless under a hotel policy that puts profit over guests’ wellbeing. I strongly urge Booking.com to investigate this property and reconsider its placement on the platform. This hotel should come with a warning label.

And just beyond, the Adriatic Sea—that shimmering accomplice to first kisses, late-night walks, and whispered promises. Milano Marittima gave us more than a vacation. It gave us a memory that smells like salt, pine, and freedom. And Hotel Palace? It was the stage, the soundtrack, and the soul of it all. We’ll be back. Not out of routine—but because magic like this… you don’t just stumble into twice.

Super Frühstückbifdet, sehr sauber, sehr freundliches Personal. Von A bis Z tadellos! Sehr feiner und sauberer Strand,Besser geht kaum! Sicher auch beim nächsten Besuch in Milano Marittima unsere Wahl. Last but not least super Restaurantauswahl ind der Umgebung.

You pay that high money for a 5 stars hotel but actually 3 stars hotel on town mich better than this. I will never go back again to this hotel. Dont waste your money!

Hotel molto bello personale impeccabile camera troppo piccola per un 5 stelle aria condizionata rumorosa

The rooms were noisy, with construction work starting as early as 5am on the first morning, and loud music continuing late into the night on my final day. There were no kettles or irons in the room — the latter reportedly due to fire hazard concerns — meaning you have to pay to have clothes ironed. I also had to check out early for travel, but despite the hotel advertising a 24-hour reception, I waited 15 minutes for someone to arrive.
