Tarr Farm Inn

Stayed here for my partner's birthday and it was perfect; delicious meal, lovely room and an ideal location for heading off for a long walk straight from the hotel.

Location location location complimented by excellent accommodation great food evening and especially breakfast . Pleasant and effective staff . Can’t to revisit with my two Welsh terriers

Beautiful location,evening meals very good.The room was cozy,however the kettle needed replacing as in quite a poor state.Bathroom clean but as shower over bath no slip mat also no grab rails around bath.Found bathing difficult because of this.Felt bathroom could have done with some TLC.seemed very tired.

A perfect getaway relaxing away from life’s speedway traffic and from the little ones for a night. Perfect location if peace and tranquility is what you wish for . Lovely service and a special thank you to the young lady who worked with grace and politeness throughout our stay.

This was an exceptional stay. Everything is done very well indeed with superb attention to detail. The room was very well appointed and the first that I have stayed in to include a gun safe, not that I needed it. There was also a DVD player and a very good selection of hot drinks plus a 'fridge with still and sparkling mineral water. Service was at all times very attentive to the point of being anticipative. The breakfast choice was really good and everything that I had was cooked brilliantly, with nice use of local products. Evening meals were a real joy with. Good examples were the carrot and coriander soup and the roasted tomato soup which the chef made in a quite exceptional way. Also the sorbets but all of the dishes were excellent.

I stay in many hotels - and this was one of my favourite! A very old, quirky inn - rustic but beautifully finished. The best thing for me was the ingredients / food... every element was exceptional - the best, (where possible local) honey, coffee, steak, salmon, bread, the most perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. And all served with a smile. It is not the "poshest" place ever - more of a simple Inn but beautifully done - it is the most charming and I will travel back to be here again.
