Matsui Honkan

I stayed two nights in this lovely ryokan and had a fantastic stays for 2 nights and the meals were outstanding! I arrived late around 9 pm and I appreciated the kitchen remained open to serve me an excellent meal at my room. Each day the staff team surprised me with wonderful food. The experience of traditional breakfast and Kaiseki dinner were awesome; food were high quality and delicious. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I will be back next year! I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone in the ryokan to make my stay outstanding. See you next year!

This is a small hotel run by a friendly staff. The room we had was spacious, clean, nicely designed and decorated. It is a combination of western beds and traditional Japanese sitting area with a private bath and toilet. Its is quiet and close enough to catch various subway trains. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again if I ever visit Kyoto again.

We were greeted by staff upon arrival at the ryokan. The staffs were all friendly and always at the doorstep to send and receive guests at any hour. The room was clean and spacious for 2 people. We enjoyed the public bath in the ryokan as well. Amenities within the ryokan were very good. Moreover, they even gave souvenirs to guests before upon check out as well. The Japanese breakfast prepared was great. The only issue was that the walls were thin as with any ryokans so we would hear the noises from the other rooms

This Ryokan is extremely well situated - with the Nishiki market just round the corner, and lots of amazing restaurants near the river. The Ryokan itself is very clean (both the rooms and the public area) and the service is great! You are greeted with a welcome snack - would also definitely recommend getting the breakfast service in the room - what a treat!

飯店位置很好. 離錦市場, 八坂神社很近. 吃的有三嶋亭 壽喜燒, 魚心壽司河原町店, 叙々苑 游玄亭京都店也都蠻近的.

Great service, nice staff. Dinner at room is a great experience

位於錦市場及河原町鬧區，附近的小巷弄亦充滿了京都味，是方便逛街且鬧中取靜的好選擇。服務人員也非常的貼心～寒風中抵達，立即送上熱飲及熱毛巾。

Great location, quiet and convenient. Be sure to get the Japanese breakfast—a once in a lifetime experience. Our boys (12 and 14) enjoyed the hotel and its amenities as much as I did. The one piece of furniture we missed was a couch—which was fine as we did want to get the authentic Japanese experience. Front desk was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Even though one of us is vegetarian, their breakfasts and restaurant choices were still solid. Highly recommended.

The staff are incredibly polite. Clean & comfort to stay ...will definitely go back again
