The Lemon Tree

Great, convenient place to stay. We also had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The only small thing I'd change is some softer pillows but everything else was great.

We enjoyed a great night’s sleep in a super comfy bed in this lovely hotel. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay. It was warm and quiet, and ideally located. Breakfast the following morning was delicious; we will definitely be back!

This is simply a wonderful place to stay. Clean, well-run and in a beautiful historic building that looks like a Christmas tree when lit up at night. Sam the owner, Matt, James, Rafi, Harvey, Gosia all took great care of us. Did I mention the food? The restaurant is first class, as is the food. Be sure to take the afternoon tea, you won't be disappointed. We've had it at the Savoy in London, that was great, this was better (kudos to Bobby, the chef). Thank you to everyone at The Lemon Tree for a super week's stay.

I would recommend the Lemon Tree Hotel to anyone heading to Wrexham and looking for a nice place to stay.

Looking to break my journey from the excesses of motorways between North Yorkshire. I spotted this small restaurant with rooms. The perfect place to stay, either for my purposes or to explore the region. Helpful check in times of arrival 3pm (welcome after a tiring journey) and 11am departure (miss rush hour). The food was excellent. I dined on scallop linguine with a very pleasant glass of rosé. Breakfast options were good too. I chose the smashed avocado with poached eggs, which couldn't have been better. Beautifully cooked and presented. The only mild disappointment was in the coffee, which I would estimate to be from a machine, so not easy to remedy. Everything one needed in the room, including a fridge, and nice that there was hot chocolate and some little biscuits. I plan to return.

I liked the proximity to the town centre, especially the bus station. I would have liked to have a full cooked English breakfast included in the price of staying.

On site parking. Simple timely check in. Well equipped comfortable room. Clean. Nothing too much trouble for the host. Just one complaint no hand soap in bathroom. Shampoo and shower gel provided in shower. Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely be back and will dine in the restaurant. Thank you.
