Cit'Hotel La Marinière

Convenient for town. Small bedroom ok for one night but the shower did not work. No water came out

Frieny English speaking staff. Brilliant location. Room was very quiet considering Central location. Clean, tidy and secure. Will definetly use again and would recommend.

Stay was excellent. This isn't a 5-star hotel. The rooms are small and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful and very accommodating. The location is excellent - near the train station and a short, scenic walk to the walled city - or to Solidar. All around, a great value.

We booked for two nights. The room was awfully dirty, you coul be stuck on the carpet. No room service, we had to do our bed. The breakfast were at the reception room, a coffee and a piece of bread, no more. When we left they did not let us to leaf the baggage for the four hours we had until our train leaves. I would not be back.

It was only a short stay overnight in Saint Malo and I booked this place as my partner and I were backpacking and we wanted a hotel in the proximity of the train station. However it was a really bad idea. Check-in time starts in the afternoon and reception is unmanned from 12 to 14, thus we were forced to keep our heavy backpacks with us while going to the centre.. but the worse was yet to come! The room was tiny compared to the pictures on the site, and one of the bedside tables had been basically ripped off the wall.. there was barely any soap for a shower and the moquette was in terrible shape. Really bad value for money, totally overpriced!

Looked a dump from the outside so quite glad I never saw the inside.I received a reference from booking .com so as a disabled elderly person was very upset to find it totally closed! However they still took my money

The hotel is located near the bus and railway station and about 800 m from the city centre. It is expensive in relationship to what it offers. Room is not big. I have appreciated the presence of a a lift.

We first went to this little gem over 50 years ago and although the owners have changed, the hotel remains as good as ever. Our children would confirm this. Even though the station has been moved 300 metres closer to Paris, it is still very conveniently placed. On our last morning there was a problem with a late taxi and we had the ferry to catch. Madame was on the point of taking us herself when the taxi arrived. What service.

The staff were very friendly with at least 1 English speaking which was a bonus as my French is not that good. The room although a little small was clean and adequate, the bed was made up every day and towels changed. Breakfast consisted of croissant, bread , jam and cake with coffee and juice, enough to set you up for the morning. It is about 12 mins walk into the old city along 1 road, and is perfect as a base to explore the local area.
