Perfectly acceptable for an overnight stop. 2 hrs drive from the channel tunnel so it was good place to break our journey to Strasbourg. It’s a French provincial hotel rather than something a little more comfortable/mainstream like a Holiday Inn Express. Clean and functional rather than plush. There’s plenty of free parking and there were always lots of empty bays. Nobody parked next to us. The accommodation is at the rear of the property and the room doors open onto a covered walkway in the open air ie they don’t open onto an internal corridor so it’s a motel style property. We parked a few metres away from our door. The rooms were large and clean and they had electric blinds on the windows which gave a total black out effect when sleeping. Overnight, there was no noise from next door or from outside. The chap that checked us in didn’t speak a word of English but we managed to check-in OK. We were a little concerned as to how easy it would be to use the restaurant given the language barrier but in the event all was fine. The restaurant was spacious and it wasn’t overly busy. I got the feeling that many of the customers were just passing through like we were. Our meal was very nice. You can view the restaurant menu/prices via the hotel’s website and we found this very useful. The only slight gripe was the cost of breakfast. It was 11 euros per person and I would have expected more of a selection for that price. Overall, we'd stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and found the food was excelent an really enjoyed it. We will be going back the next time in the area

A large motel type room with comfortable bed and modern bathroom with separate WC. This was our first stay, having stopped several times over the years for lunch en route to the ferry. The dinner more than lived up to expectations. Well worth stopping for the night and within about a mile of the A26 and the St Quentin north junction.

I found this hotel to be over priced for what it is, I have paid half for twice as good, it is situated on the main road which is kept a secret until you arrive. I am disabled and had requested disabled facilities....I was given a room with a bath, I challenged the reception who claimed it was suitable for myself ! I was not at all impressed with this hotel.

The Citotel Le Pot D'etain is a charming hotel within good reach of the French motorway network. We used this as an overnight stop on a trip across France and found the rooms to be rather basic, but clean and comfortable with a nice small patio area. There is plenty of parking with 1 parking space allocated per room and the rooms at the back of the help are quiet and well insulated from any traffic noise. We had an evening meal at the hotel sat outside which was enjoyable and whuilst the service was slow, the food served was very good. The menu was a little limited in terms of the number of dishes available, but the range was good and all 4 members enjoyed the dining experience. For what we needed as an overnight stop, then the hotel served our purposes well

Food was outstanding

Lovely ground floor chalets with large back french windows surrounded by greenery, car parking space in front of front door. Excellent restaurant.

We just had an overnight stay on route from England to Italy. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, very quiet. The grounds are well tended and good for dog strolls, Evening meal was ok, we had the set menu as ala Carter was expensive. Staff were very friendly.

Handy for the motorway. Room quite basic but adequate. Dinner good.

Very comfortable rooms excellent restaurant good service very convenient for driving from to Calais Didnt allow dogs in restaurant and not the cheapest place we stayed but a very pleasant break and I am sure we will return
