Excellent stay lovely setup

We had a double story room that was very spacious. It is a school in the winter and a hotel in the summer so it is very well equipped and spacious. Our room was clean and roomy and the hotel itself was immaculate. It’s in a great location with lots to do nearby. Staff greeted us upon arrival and when screeching out and were very friendly.

This is a good hotel that other than in the summer, is a dorm for the nearby junior college. Thus every room is set up like a dorm with desks, beds and lots of storage space. We had a triple room which was two levels, which is cool, but the upper level which had the double bed, was accessed with only a very narrow spiral staircase. Bathroom was on the first floor of the room. Since it is a dorm there were several nice public places on each floor with couches etc. Breakfast was very good. The lead picture for the hotel is for the city pool, which is across the street.

Location of the hotel

There was a security camera just outside our room in front of the huge window. Though the view outside was great with view of mountains, we couldn’t leave the curtain open for privacy. I didn’t like the location of room #216 which was neither in 2nd nor 3rd floors. But, the view from the loft was great.

Highly recommended for the fans of the movie “the shining”!! This student dormitory magically transforms during the summer in an expensive hotel which resembles the hotel from Stanley Cubrik’s movie “the shining”. In every step inside the building you get the feeling that Jack Nicholson is watching you and is ready to hunt you yielding an axe in his hand and take your head!! The hotel is close enough to some places of interest which is good. The personnel is very polite and really helpful.

Very expensive for the comforts it provides. We payed 430€ for two nights and we didn’t even had a proper bathroom nor breakfast included in this price.

Near a swimming pool and the park.

Rooms felt like offices and shower was really small.
