"Shabby, tatty, dirty and expensive - avoid!"

2.0

Absolutely the worst accommodation in our 3 week tour. Stairways very narrow and rotting away with cracked steps, missing step edges and very worrying bounce in the platform. Windows disgustingly filthy outside - probably never been cleaned, even though they are Velux type. Floor tiles in toilet mouldy and cracked, shower door cannot be opened more than 40 degrees and has normal shower head, not a rainfall type as stated by Hotel.com. Fixed front door blinds not adjustable and let security light glare in during the night. Doors dirty and no private patio as stated by Hotel.com. Furniture badly stained, and banister in lounge area coming away from the wall. Antiquated TV system which regularly failed to maintain signal. Had to walk around with bent neck as vaulted ceiling way too low - basically a converted attic with tin roof, and squirrels love playing on the roof at 4am... This was Honeymoon suite No1!!! The most expensive place we stayed, and really only worth 400 ZAR/night max. Would not recommend to my enemy, let alone my friends.

"Dissapointing"

4.0

I was made to wait outside for a person to check me in. Room across the road is small. The oregon floors noise from people above my room was unbearable. Basin and taps was filthy and the carpet rug was dirty . Pls clean properly and follow up on your housekeeping team.

Exellent and friendly service from checking in (Johan), breakfast to checking out. Rooms interesting, big and very comfortable. Breakfast menu can be better, but quality of food was excellent.

"Disapointing welcome"

6.0

Bit of a mixed review here. On the one hand a very charming colonial style building (the main site as it is spread across the noisy road too) with friendly staff and a very nice breakfast. The location was ideal for my business trip as it was only a few minutes walk to the university and max 10 mins walk to the town centre for shops & restaurants. However on arrival I was not given the room I had booked with the listed facilities and the assigned room was significantly inferior. I complained and eventually was given a better room but had to change room again the next day. On a multi-stop trip each unpacking/packing is a hassle so an extra one was an inconvenience. Very tiring too after an over-night flight. Hotels need to be regulated!!!

"値段相応、まあ良い、一般家庭のルームレントみたい。"

8.0

オーナー夫妻はとてもフレンドリーだが、ややホテルのようなサービスにはかけるかも。シャワーカーテンない。一般家庭に泊めてもらった感じ。屋根裏部屋のようでサウナのように暑かった。朝食は南アのBBの平均的グレード。

"Off-season stay"

8.0

Because it was off-season, we had some issues with cleanliness: the kitchen had a mildew/mold smell and we would not have used it if given the opportunity. There was a very large, dead spider in the middle of the lounge. The remote control for the DSTV did not work (dead batteries probably). Breakfast in the colonial-style rooms was very good.
