"Construction ruined the serenity of the bush"

Everything. The food was some of the best we had. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The beds and rooms were big and comfortable. Game drives are affordable. Such an amazing place.

Construction all day every day. On the first day, we woke up at 8 o’clock on a Sunday morning to grinding and hammering. We spoke to the staff and asked to be moved. They moved us to the other side right next to the other construction site. Initially, it was quiet there, but there was definitely still some occasional grinding hammering and building work happening. Even on the public holiday and it can be heard at the pool area as well. In our opinion, this is totally unacceptable when you are going on a relaxing bush holiday. We didn’t have any plans of going out. We just wanted to relax at the reserve, but this was impossible with the construction going on. I think it’s just fair to let people know before they come because if we knew we would’ve canceled our stay. I think this is a great place to stay, but before you book phone them and make 100% sure that there is absolutely no construction happening.

"Wonderful time at a special place! We loved every minute!"

Perfect location with everything you need. The viewing deck around the water was lovely to sit around to watch the birds. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the food was good too. The game drives were excellent! Aubrey was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

I absolutely love this place! - travelling alone as a solo female I was made to feel so at home, the staff can't do enough for you and organised all my transfers for trips, pool side drinks service and the best gluten and dairy free food I have ever had on holiday ! Thank you Tshkudu 🥰
