Monteolivos

Great hotel to base ourselves as a family of five while visiting family in San Pedro. The breakfast included is a real plus and excellent.

They need to improve

I had a group of 11 students (teens and early 20's) who stayed at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good with lots of vegetarian choice. Air conditioning was a little hard to control. Refrigerators in room were a plus. Staff were very helpful. Location was both good and bad. It was an easy, safe walk to nice dining/shopping during daytime. However, in the evening, local security for traffic and surrounding businesses blew whistles until well after 1 am making it hard to fall asleep. Overall good value. We will stay again.

We stayed at Monteolivos at the end of a mission trip to Honduras. The rooms were reasonably priced and the hotel was wonderful! The rooms were big, almost like a mini suite. One of our rooms had five people in it. There was plenty of room for everyone and all of our luggage. The bathroom was immaculate. The beds were comfortable and the linens clean. It was an amazing value for the price we paid. We also had the breakfast that was included with the room. It was very good and ready on time. The hotel is right in the middle of the city with every imaginable restaurant and store nearby. Unfortunately we were only there for one night and were not able to visit anything in the city, but Monteolivos is right in the middle of it all. We will definitely stay here again when in San Pedro.

I spent three days at the hotel and was able to determine a few things: 1. The hotel offers better rates at the lobby as those published on-line. 2. A strippclub is located just across the street (and might get kind of noisy at night) 3. It is located in a commercial area, near restaurants and a big mall. 4. Overall the hotel facilities were ok. 5. As mentioned, taxes are not included in the rate, so you may want to add and extra 20% (For that rate, I would have rather stayed at another place) 6. Taxi rates to the airport are a lie. They have a sign offering some soart of special rate, but guess what? taxi drivers charge you double.... 7. Food ok (nothing fancy, like a "comedor") 8. Nice Internet speed, available for free in all rooms. 9. Air conditioner in all rooms.. necesarry for San Pedro. 10. Bathroom facilities are somehow disappointing.. 7. Terrible if you want to change some dollars to lempiras... at the counter...

More than what I expected, which was very nice.
