Prekas Apartments

Very nice property with a spectacular balcony overlooking the Caldera. Staff were very responsive to any requests and went above and beyond. Located in Imerovigli it’s the perfect spot away from the crowds, yet many restaurants and small stores are nearby. Great sunset view.

We stayed in the captains suite which was incredible. We would definitely stay again. The private terrace is an amazing place to watch the sunset and also quite hidden from the main path which is great. There are so many other hotels which charge a lot more and the main path runs right past them so there's no privacy at all! We would definitely recommend staying here. The pool is beautiful and again has breath taking views. The staff are friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Prekas. We had a wonderful experience. The rooms are large and comfortable. The view is spectacular. Each room comes with its own balcony. The views are unobstructed and amazing. This area is for people who are looking for peace and quiet. This location is like Fira and Oia without the crowds. If you are not fit or have any problems walking this location is tough. To give an example, its 1400 steps from the apartment to the bus stop, and it consists of hills and steps. Also buy beer, water or anything else at the local market and bring it to the apartment. The best gyro in town is at a restaurant called "Lets Eat" located near the apartment. Rent a quad its the best way to get around. Book all your tours in Greece and save a bunch of money.

The hotel is very well positioned. Imerovigli is a highest village on Santorini so the view is outstanding and without mad mass of tourists of Oia or Thira. Imerovigli is quite and laid back place. The hotel is lovely, occupies several levels connected by stairs and had different kind of rooms. All of them have a shared terraces except Captains quarter which has it's own terrace. We rented this room. It was a small room but big bathroom and nice spa. However, it is impossible to enjoy it because of a huge amount of chlorine in the water it is filled with. The moment we started the spa jets, chlorine started coming out and filled all bathroom space. We could not breathe, started coughing, tears were running from eyes. I understand that desinfectant is required if the water is re-used by guests, but so much??? If you are hoping to enjoy the spa and have a romantic night, don't count on it. The room itself is small, as well as a kitchen corner. In my opinion, it doesn't cost the money you are paying. Otherwise, everything is good. Our friends had another room, cheaper, and it was very good. Staff is helpful, especially Svetlana.

We had a blast at this facility in Santorini. Prekas apartments were the best place to stay at as we wanted a romantic and private room. The staff went out of their way to help us with faxing documents to the extend that they took us to next door facility to try it from their end as their fax machine was slow and taking a little bit longer. When we got there, the staff provided us with a welcome drink, carried our heavy luggage from car to the long walkway to Prekas apartments; this is a windy and hilly path but yet beautiful. The views are breathtaking and the room was superb. We had our own private balcony as well and that was neat. Overall, we loved our stay here and we will recommend to our friends and family especially those who want to experience what we call, "a little bit of heaven" on earth experience.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff (Lefteri) was VERY friendly and accommodating. The view was spectacular. A lot of steps to climb up and down to get to the apartment. The balcony was great for viewing the sunsets.

Wonderful location. One of the best views and close enough to restaurants yet very peaceful.

The hotel team were amazing: friendly, able to find good car hire, recommend restaurants, physically carry our bags up the slope and arrange reasonable-priced airport transfers. Fantastic views and a pool at the bottom of the slope with views straight out over the caldera. We went for the smallest, cheapest room: it was clean, but was small and the fittings were dated (not a luxury hotel). However you pay significantly less than other hotels on the island nearby, so it is good value.

Bottom line up front: Absolutely amazing experience. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else. -Hospitality: All of their staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but perhaps the best example I can give is this. We checked out of our room at noon on the day of our departure flight, but the flight wasn't until midnight. We spent some time in the nearby towns and shops, but there was only so much we could do and had spent all of our money since we were leaving. When we went back to re-confirm our airport shuttle, they also saw we were wiped out and without hesitation gave us water, watched our luggage, and allowed us to sit in the shade for hours for our shuttle even though we'd already checked out. -View, location, etc: Fantastic view of both the caldera and evening sunsets. At the edge of Imerovigli, so it is nice and secluded, yet not out of the reach by any means. We stayed at the superior studio room and loved it, but all of their rooms had great views and balconies. -Catch/Cons: The following two "cons" are simply my own estimations as to why this impeccable gem was within a price I could afford. 1. You must throw away toilet paper instead of flushing it (old sewage system). This issue is true all over Santorini, but the high-end hotels pump their sewage periodically so that their patrons don't have to make this small adjustment. 2. The shower was small, but unless you're 7' tall or weigh 300 lbs you'll be fine. Plus, there's the pool they chlorinate daily.

We loved our stay at Prekas! It was an amazing view, a comfortable room, accommodating staff, and walkable to bars, restaurants, shops, and more. I would definitely stay here again.
