"Useful airport stopover"

8.0

We were looking for a place to stay for about 12 hours between flights, and Machu Picchu Suites, being fairly close to the airport and comfortable without being unduly extravagant, seemed to fit the bill. The airport transfers were very punctual and efficient, if a lot more expensive than a local taxi. San Miguel is not an attractive neighbourhood, and has a reputation with Peruvians for being a bit dangerous, but the hotel itself is secure, and as long as you don't want to walk anywhere locally, the location is fine, being only ten minutes' drive from the airport. Our room was clean and spacious, though annoyingly, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and the wifi didn't work. A sensible choice overall if you want somewhere secure to stay between flights, but not great value, I wouldn't say.

"Machu Picchu Suites"

8.0

I had an overnight stop in Lima and found the hotel on Hotels.com. The room price was great, and the hotel shuttle was also reasonably priced. Breakfast was orange juice, instant coffee, a small croissant, jam and butter. The driver spoke some English and was very accommodating. The people at the hotel were very accommodating and their English was better than the driver. The room was very basic, older decor like the late 60's or 70's but clean and comfortable enough. The bed was too firm for me, but I did have a decent sleep with ear plugs in. The location of the hotel is not in a very desirable part of town but for me it was alright, as it was an overnight stay in Lima and then took my flight onto Santa Cruz later the following morning. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a good place to spend a night and is good value for the money. If you're looking to stay longer than a night or two I would look for something else.

"Indianapolis single woman"

8.0

Hotel staff is very helpful. The hotel is situated in San Miguel which is not the best location in town. Its on the dingy side of town. However, for 20 soles about 10 dollares you can take a taxi to Miras Flores which is a lovely part of town. There is a supper market about 5 blocks away and several eating places near by. Overall, a comfy room but in need of a little updating ie new carpets but the helpfulness of the staff make it worth while.

"Great Service"

8.0

We just spent one night here as we had a layover, the price could not be beat! However, it would have been a great place to stay for a longer period with kitchen, well stocked with cooking utensils, etc. Lots of hot water and overwhelmingly friendly staff.

"Machu Picchu Suites Lima PE"

10.0

I picked this hotel due to it's close proximity to the Lima airport as I had a very short overnight stay and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and it was very spacious for the price. I can't give a honest appraisal of the neighborhood as I never ventured out of the hotel.

Close to airport, perfect for connecting flights. Staff friendly and helpful. Felt welcome as if in an old friends house. Only drawback noisy room due to airport proximity.

"Excellent service, excellent hotel!"

10.0

It is a real bargain, quality of service is exceptional! They sent a cab to the airport to meet me, the hotel is wonderful, rooms are large, you have a kitchenette in the room with stove, microwave and fridge. My room was immaculate, quiet and tastefully decorated. Katya was friendly, very helpful and treated me with amazing hospitality - I could not wish for better service. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone arriving to Lima. It is not in a touristy neighborhood, but for 10-15 soles ($3-$5) you can get to the best locations of Lima.
