Hotel Grot

Only stayed here for 1 night, but it cost me more than a night at the Novotel in central Warsaw. The room was clean but had no charm. Very much a 'motel' kind of feel. There were no fans or air con. The windows didnt open very much, so was quite stuffy. Reception had no fans they coud give. Good location and easy to get too. But had this not been booked for me, I probably would not have picked it myself. A B&B would have been nicer, especially for such a lovely town.

this hotel is located near the Malbork castle, it take 10 minutes to castle.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip in January 2012. Although the decor in my room was a little outdated, the room was clean, warma and comfortable. We ate both nights in the hotel restaurant, and the food was exellent - a good mixture of local and international food at very good prices. Service was excellent, even if the rooms are a little noisey at night. I would recommend this hotel for a nice comfortable stay in Malbork.

Great location, rigth between the station and the castle. Looks newly renovated from the outside. Inside it is a bit worn down. Clean but small rooms. Hard bed (whcich we find ok). Staff does not speak english. Good breakfast with lots to chosse from. Quiet eventhough a wedding was in the basement.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 15 Minuten von der berühmtesten Sehenswürdigkeit der Umgebung, der Marienburg (Deutschritter-orden) entfernt und mitten im Ortszentrum. Die Küche des Hauses ist sehr zu empfehlen.

A very poor hotel with extremely bad service. I think the employees who have no idea how a good hotel should work like are the biggest problem. You can do nothing if you don't know what should be done. Rooms are small and very simply decorated. I have to admit they are clean. Bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable, fortunately there are no problems with hot water. Service at reception desk is bad. Especially in the evenings you feel like you disturb a worker in his privacy. Breakfast is terrible. Beware Best before dates! Once I found an old cheese, another time a yogurt. A year ago they served my little baby smelling ham... They have a buffett but you have to ask for everything and wait for hours. Cheapest juice and cofffee. Still, there is no better alternative in Malbork if you need to be close to the castle.

stayed next to very busy road. traffic all te nite, lorries, noise, smell. internet did not work. no parking at all

we got room for 3. no airco, 30C, when opened window, you feel like on the highway. DO NOT TAKE GROTHOTEL... tv did not work, network unstable, no parking
