Bon hôtel très bien placé, à deux pas de la plage. Ensemble un peu vieillot, mériterait quelques travaux surtout en décoration

Great location, probably the best in matala. Hotel quite old and you have to keep that in mind choosing it. I recommend rooms with a huge balcony on the second floor, preferably with a view of the city / sea.

An average hotel central to the bus stop, shops, café/restaurants & beach.

Schöner Ausblick auf die Höhlen. Frühstück kann man sich sparen vor Allem der Kaffee war nicht wirklich genießbar. Mit einem Frühstück außerhalb ist man besser dran.

We always stop at this hotel when we are in matala.Very friendly staff that speak good English.There is a lift to all floors.Best bathrooms in Crete with modern shower cubicles.Rooms cleaned everyday and great view of sea and caves from the balcony.Double glazed patio doors onto the balcony that keep out any road no ice.Great buffet breakfast with a good selection of food.The only thing I can think of to improve this hotel is a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities and a t.v.

We'd try a different hotel if we're going to Matala again. - Location of hotel is good - Breakfast is mediocre - Parking lot was full, we had to find street parking or pay at city lot - We got to single beds, although we had requested a double - Bathroom was ok - Bed and mattress were not that comfortable - No safe in the room - Fridge in the room was broken - Only one electrical outlet available to charge cameras/cell phones, etc - Decor was pretty bad, ugly furniture, plain walls, tired ceramic floors, ceiling was full of stains and not painted - Swimming pool area is nice

I had a wonderful stay, ok the hotel could do with a little makeover, i dont think its changed that much in the last 30 years but you cant fault its location in this lovely little town and the staff were polite and helpful and the room was kept very clean. Will be staying here again hopefully.

I absolutely loved this hotel It is basic but perfect- just two twin beds, bedside tables and a desk but it was super clean and had a good bathroom. Our balcony had a table and chairs and an amazing view of the Matala caves and the sea. It is right in the village so you can walk to lots of restaurants and shops and one minute to beach. The little pub attached was showing soccer when we were there and it was fun to sit and watch with the other guests. They also have a restaurant across the street and the owner gave us a coupon for free wine! The only downside is the parking lot which is small and some idiot was blocking the entrance. You can park across the street for 2 euros a day though so not a big deal. The pool is gorgeous and the warmest one we found in Crete. I wish we could have stayed for a week and I plan to go back one day!
