Leonidas Hotel & Apartments

Great location for the beach and an easy 10 minute stroll up to the old town of Rethymno. Really clean and nicely done out, rooms cleaned daily and the staff are helpful and friendly.

The location was brilliant. By the beach where you can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for five euros for the day. Easy walk to the old town. Plenty of bars restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were very pleasant too.

The rooms were on the smaller side and the outlook from some rooms is on to a side road/other apartments. When we first arrived we were allocated a ground floor apartment facing a side street which felt quite dark and overlooked. The owner was helpful in allowing us to move two days later and our second room was higher up and much lighter. We would advise specifying the kind of outlook/which floor you would like when booking.

Location, modern and very tidy rooms. Parking is ideal in this area. Staff was lovely, too!

En familj på 4 (14 & 11 åringa barn) som spenderade några dagar på hotellet. Suverän bemötande och väldigt bra läge till stranden och till ”Gamlestaden”. Familjeägt hotell som sköts passionerad av hela familjen. Rekommenderas verkligen.

Nothing not to like apart that we only had one night stay before flying home .

We had an amazing 8-day stay! We were celebrating an anniversary and were welcomed with a beautifully decorated bed, a bottle of wine and home-made cookies. The team went out of their way to show excellent customer service. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was well maintained, with very comfortable sun loungers. We tried some things from their pool menu, and it was all fresh and delicious, at a fair price. The hotel is located just a few steps from the beach, and there is a large number of restaurants. (Overall, the quality of restaurants in Rethymno is high.) We wanted to rent a car for both our arrival and departure, and the manager, Olga, organized it for us, which saved us a lot of money, and the car was conveniently delivered to the airport and the hotel, respectively. We are looking forward to coming back soon and we would definitively recommend anyone to stay at the Leonidas - we couldn't have asked for a lovelier or more relaxing, hassle-free holiday! The team really takes good care of you! We have worked and traveled all over the world, and we have rarely come across a gem such as the Leonidas. A big thanks to Mr. Leonidas, Olga, and the rest of the team! Efcharisto poli!

Friendly and clean accommodation with lovely pool and garden. Staff responsive and helpful. Good value for money.
