The Cliffs at Princeville

I booked this property for the sole purpose of having easy access to the shuttle to the Kalalau trailhead and it was perfect in this regard. My unit was spacious and well appointed, but not particularly attractive. There were signs of wear and tear throughout. The dining table was wobbly, and everything seemed to be in need of a refresh or refurbishment. None of the promised Expedia VIP amenities (complimentary bottle of wine and $100 dining credit) materialized. I wouldn't care if I hadn't paid hundreds of dollars for one night, but at the going rates, any deviation from the promised product is unacceptable. Somehow, the property also had two reservations under my name, and didn't fix the issue despite two emails from my part.

Excellent choice.

Very quiet and family-friendly property, close to beautiful beaches. Kids loved the pool and the tennis/basketball/pickleball courts.

Location.

A/C would have been a plus.

The member of staff at check in and check out was excellent. Not so good was the attitude of the 2 different staff members who we asked for advice.

It was wonderful to be able to park right next to our unit. It was also nice having two bathrooms. The space was clean and nicely decorated and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the later checkout granted to us.

If you want to stay in Princeville or Hanalei Bay area, this property has one of the most pretty views of the cliffs and bay.

NO AC!!! This was a complete surprise to us as we previously stayed at the Grand Hyatt down in Poipu and wanted to come up to Princeville to check out why everybody is raving about the area. Did not realize that none of the rooms had AC. Esp in August, we slept in a sweltering room with no crosswinds and had to open all of the windows, doors only to hear roosters crow at 3-4am. Did not get any good sleep at all. Pool is quite small for the size of the community. They had lots of parking spaces within the community, but also charged $15 per day for overnight parking when it is not near any big cities? Surprising.

Wonderful room right on the cliff over the ocean, beautiful property. Only complaint is the tv, hard to work, 1000 useless channels. I have discovered that Spectrum and Roku tvs are not user friendly. This was Spectrum and even when maintenance came to help it later did not work.
