Great location, well appointed property, good sized room and very pleasant, helpful staff

Charmant hotel op een prachtige, sfeervolle locatie op het eiland Île de Ré. Het ligt idyllisch en centraal in het pittoreske plaatsje Saint-Martin-de-Ré. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en de upgrade van onze kamer was een geweldige verrassing. Onze kamer lag fantastisch in de tuin, wat zorgde voor een extra bijzondere ervaring. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en het personeel was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bedankt voor het fantastische verblijf, met alle luxe die daarbij hoorde. Het zwembad is heerlijk om even af te koelen en volledig tot rust te komen. Wij hebben enorm genoten en komen graag nog eens terug!

Good location, nice building especially the old part near the bar, private parking (although you pay extra), pool, breakfast. Generally the staff are really nice.

Communication could have been a bit better, the chambermaids didn't seem to know we were checking out. on check-out day so were cleaning our room as normal. More invitations and nurturing from the staff would be nice, for instance how are you, what are you thinking of doing today - can I help? For instance we weren't aware there was a beach nearby. Feels a bit like its on a formula because its a very busy property in a prime tourist location. I feel given the price the Spa was too expensive therefore not enough people are using it - if there was a more reasonable price for 50 minutes than 60 Euros for a paying guest, we would have tried it. Also the treatments are quite expensive too so we didn't benefit from the Spa at all other than outside pool.

Um hotel de charme, bonito e bem localizado.

Apesar do pequeno almoço ser bom, foi muito desagradável a forma como fomos recebidos. Este era o último dia de alguns passados na ilha, também em outros hotéis. Em todos eles tivemos sempre uma recepção muito atenta e dedicada ao nosso bem estar. Neste hotel, no qual só ficamos uma noite, quando chegámos ao pequeno almoço, às 10:15 de domingo, uma senhora que tudo indicava ser a responsável pela gestão desta sala, recebeu-nos de forma "stressada" e muito pouco simpática, dando a entender que o ideal seria já nem sequer nos sentarmos, uma vez que o pequeno almoço terminaria às 10:30, e como haveria a seguir um Brunch de domingo ela necessitaria preparar a sala... Tomámos o nosso pequeno almoço e saímos da sala eram 10:35. Ainda foi ter com uma família que também se encontrava na sala, ainda não eram 10:30, a dizer que infelizmente deveriam abandonar a sala, uma vez que a teria de preparar. Que isto acontecia apenas ao domingo. Confesso que viajámos imenso por todo o mundo e, nunca tínhamos assistido a semelhante indelicadeza! Isto não pode acontecer num hotel deste nível!
