"Great location - close to everything in Miraflores"

4.0

Friendly staff, most of them don't speak english. I think this hotel is fine for holidays if you're just looking for a place to stay with easy access to everything in Miraflores. The standard is more like a hostel, although the rooms come with ensuits. The hotel was being restored when I stayed there and my room smelled terribly from the paint. The bathroom window was impossible to close and it is pretty noisy -both the area and the hotel itself due to poor insulation. I could leave my luggage at the hotel during a ten days tour to Cusco without being charged, a service I really appreciated.

"Good deal for your money and good service"

8.0

Greta location, just a few blocks from Kennedy park in Miraflores, near great restaurants and attractions. Good service and couzy rooms make you feel good treated. The price is as much as $20 a night less than nearby hotels and hostals Recommend it!

"Great Disappointment"

2.0

Not a 2.5-star hotel. Un-maintained rooms, torn carpets, smelly, and mold everywhere. Once I arrived (on time) from the airport, both the room and the hotel's driver had jumped in price. ($61 local soles over the quote) Really astonished how they let this place fall apart. The one plus is the good location.

"AVOID THIS HOTEL!!"

2.0

If you do not want your stay in Lima to be ruined, definitely avoid this hotel!! They charge you a lot for minimum. Taxi the hotel arranged for us to pick us at the airport was for 60 soles instead of app 40 - 45 soles which is normal price (by IBIS). We arrived at night and there was a bar opposite with strange people outside. Definitely would not walk out from the hotel in the night. Receptionist - did not know a word in english ..... Next door is a reconstruction in place ...... Whole hotel is very musty. Rooms -> were not cleaned, carpet was dirty with breadcrumbs on it.... Bead lines were not changed, I found a hairs there (have a picture of it ...). Do not expect any heating. Expect noise from the street as windows are old and one-layer only. And the toilet was not cleaned before our arrival ..... To sum it up, instead of 3 nights we stayed there only 1 and changed to IBIS in Miraflores. Definitely recommend this chain - it is new, walking distance to main streets and sea, staff speaks fluently english and prices for taxis are disclosed in elevators for all guests so no cheating on guests. Breakfasts are excellent - so many choices and even fruit was very tasty. Ibis saved our stay in Lima and turned it from horrible to a nice one.

"Very centric, clean and budged friendly."

8.0

Staff was very helpful and they even held on to my luggage while I was away for a week and a half. Room was clean and spacious enough for a single person. Free Breakfast service and cafeteria was really good. Location was very convenient (at the heart of Miraflores), only a 5 minute walk from kennedy park, stores, restaurant, farmacies and everything around it was very tourist friendly. This hotel is an excellent choice for those looking for a budget friendly choice.

"Good for the locale"

8.0

The Esperanza is one of the cheaper hotels in a very expensive neighborhood so one can't expect all the glamor. It is adequate as a home base with all the usual amenities (AC, TV, free internet, security). The only real drawback is the outside noise level as you're only 100m from a freeway. It;s a fine choice if you don't expect too much.
