Hotel Tikar

The welcome was great, we arrived early but left the car on the driveway to come back later. The room was very nice and the dinner excellent. Very comfortable and all staff friendly and welcoming.

Hidden gem! Only stayed for one night. Clean comfortable and very welcoming atmosphere. The food was wonderful in the beautiful garden.

I like everything, best in Garrucha, kind and professional stuff, amazing gourmet food in there restaurant and clean room. Highly recommend!!!

The two room suite with air conditioning in both rooms was lovely, the staff, the paintings for sale throughout (we bought one!) The owners...all lovely. Both Bea and Sean were great helping me 'practicar mi espanol' 😁 The evening meal was superb and fairly & reasonably priced. Breakfast is buffet style, lovely to sit in the garden with a croissant and a coffee 😊 nice selection of fresh fruit, including banana grown in the garden! The location is perfect for a walk into the town centre, which is 2 streets up from the port, the beaches and the promenade area. The lift in the hotel was very welcome after a day on beach! Lovely place, lovely people.

The pool. It is advertised as a swimming pool, and it may have been some years ago, however it is now cracked all around the edge, dirty, green algae on the bottom from lack of cleaning, black algae near the admittedly very pretty fountain, and it appears to be a garden bird toilet and drinking hole - certainly not fit for this humans use 😲 The corkage charge. This is understandable - just - but cheeky. There is a lovely little wine shop owned by the hotel. They will sell you a bottle of wine from their shop to have with your meal, but there is a €6 corkage charge on top, so that €9.50 bottle is now €15.50. Wine is usually bought by commercial establishments and sold at a 200-300% markup, so to sell a wine to a client of the hotel and then charge for them to drink it in the same hotel to me is cheeky. Had I been to Mercadona and brought a €3.69 bottle in, I would understand it, but to profit on the wine, the room, the food AND an additional €6 corkage is beyond a joke.

Was made to feel very welcome by Sean and the staff. Very good selection of wine to accompany the excellent food in the restaurant.

A small Hotel with only few rooms in walking distance to the centre and the beach. The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For breakfast it had a good continental breakfast. The food could be taken to the tables outside in the backyard by the swimming pool. The optional, dinner was excellent and the wine selection impressive.

Over the weekend the restaurant was closed for dinner

A very relaxing stay, happy with everything.
