The sheets were clean, Tv and AC worked.

“Smoke free room” already smelled like cigarettes on arrival. Room was riddled with wheelchair damage. All the silver metals in the room were half rusted and grimy. The air conditioner looked like it did a shift at the mines. They kept security deposit, even though we were clean, respectful, and barely left a trace.

This was the most affordable motel in the area, but it was clean, spacious, comforable, nicely furnished, and well-maintained. It was close to several restaurants and coffee shops, and very easy to find. It had a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, TV, and wifi.

There was only one lamp, so if I had wanted to work at the desk, it would have been difficult.

Property was a former Knights Inn - take that for what it’s worth

Convenient parking access, and furniture/appliances provided minus the bed, lamps, and lack of oven, house keeping was friendly and helpful, easy food and gas access. There's a bakers dozen, a dollar general and two gas stations right next to the motel and more down both sides of the street

The lights, both inside the room and outside, the bulbs with flat covers hurt to be near and bc our lamps didn't work (they weren't plugged in and the outlet for them were hidden by the bedframe. So we often had no choice but to use them which would induce headaches and eyestrain. the fact that there are no bug repellent objects used by the doors/forest by the rooms meant doors would be swarmed by bugs at night depending on how bad the weather got, the once a month spray down they claim to do is not effective enough, and because the door leads directly to outside if your door gets swarmed your room gets part of it if you're not fast enough at getting inside. The desk agent doesn't fully listen sometimes and will try to convince you to "stay longer for better rates" multiple times after you already said "I don't intend to stay that long", motel claims that they needed to be let into the room each week to check for damages (which felt as if they were assuming we would cause damage willingly to the property) then when we gave them access to check they refused to check saying "it wasn't necessary" the mixed signals were not appreciated and frankly it should just be that they come check it the day before you check out at a certain time, some guests want to be undisturbed and need ridged scheduling. If they said "hey room checks are at x time on this day" this would be much less of an issue

clean and efficient

For a cheap motel it was fine for literally just sleeping there and leaving. The bed was on the hard side and the pillows were flat. I would not stay there for a weekend getaway by any means.
