The hotel is gradually falling into disrepair. The plumbing is a bit of a mess. The buffet has cold dishes. But the most important thing is the failure to take any action against the scammers operating at the taxi rank in Terminal 2. It’s simply a disgrace for China and the capital’s airport. A criminal gang has been operating there for many years, preying on foreign tourists. It seems the proceeds of their crimes are shared between the local security services, the airport administration, and, of course, the taxi drivers get their cut too. A ride from Terminal 2 to the hotel costs 20 yuan. But not a single taxi driver from the queue of waiting cars will take you. You will be placed in a separate car that will take you to your destination, and the driver will issue you a receipt for 150–200 yuan. If you are not prepared for this turn of events, you will pay up, and the car will drive off. Advice on what to do in this situation: 1. Get out of the car and collect your luggage. 2. Proceed straight to reception and loudly ask them to call the police, explaining that the driver is a fraudster. 3. Do not pay the driver anything. 0 yuan. You’ll almost certainly be treated to a free show by the fraudster, who will first shout at you, then beg you to pay him 50 yuan. Which is also a scam. The fare is 20 yuan. 3rd say here, last 10 years ago and hotel has been renamed and refurbished. Room large, spacious, modern and clean. No faults with room itself. However wifi was a problem even with a vpn to work around the issues with Chinese Internet etc. Hotel very helpful, sent IT engineer to help. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice even for Westerners. Reception staff very professional and helpful. Would return again.

Die Anbindung zum Flughafen war perfekt. Der Shuttleservice lief reibungslos - mir war es wichtig das ich nicht anrufen muss um einen Shuttle zu bekommen, sondern einfach an die angegebene Stelle gehen konnte, da der Shuttle in regelmäßigen Abständen fährt. Die Stelle konnte ich dank der Beschreibung gut finden. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und war gut für eine Nacht. Wie die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zu erreichen sind, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Das Personal an der Rezeption konnte etwas englisch.

Es gibt keine Essensmöglichkeiten in direkter Nähe, außer die im Hotel. Diese habe ich mir aber nicht näher angeschaut. Außerdem gibt es direkt in der Nähe der Rezeption ein Kiosk.
