Sheraton Zhongshan Hotel

This is the worst experience I have had staying in a Sheraton Hotel. I booked my room for three adults, including breakfast, with the understanding that appropriate sleeping arrangements would be provided. But when I checked in, the reception manager told me that it was a double-bed room only and that if an extra bed was needed, I needed to pay. I said then what was the point of booking a room for three persons and he said it was for breakfast reservation only. He said, from his point of view, there is nothing wrong with Sheraton because the booking was conducted via a third-party website, i.e. Hotels.com. I told him it was not a matter of paying extra money for the additional bed but being a manager, he needed to solve the problem to satisfy the customer's need and not simply say the hotel did nothing wrong. I paid for the extra bed but I told him this RMB233 extra will prevent a loyal Sheraton Hotel customer from booking this hotel anymore. I have now black-listed this hotel and I hope your website takes a look into this matter and improves, like showing an option to add an extra bed should the booking be for three adults and an additional facility pack is needed. If Sheraton's management training is like this, I am very disappointed.

The room was huge and the river view was brilliant. We had meals in the Chinese restaurant on the second floor and the breakfast buffet and both were nice and good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Dave Lin 林冠權. Dave showed us the places of interests around the area. My mom is in her 80's and she is 中山石岐人。She lived here when she was 5 years old and she was very pleased to ve back seeibf all the developments. Dave also helped us on luggages and transport on our way out. Thanks to his hospitality and we enjoyed the stay very much.

I like the property location as it's very convenient for shopping. It is in a quiet area and has a beautiful view over the river. But the service is only on an average.

Always a big fan of Sheraton but the Zhongshan one is a huge let-down. Well, location is unbeatable with a nice waterfront view. Room is spacious. Management, however, is quite a mess. Arrived at 4pm and was told room is not ready. Housekeeping is clumsy and careless. Bellboy left our luggage in lobby and did not send them to room until we called front desk. While the front desk lady was helpful, the hotel is clearly overwhelmed with tour groups. The whole place is chaotic with people at every corner of lobby. I am afraid there are way better options nearby.

Lovely room with a great view. Friendly reception with a free upgrade! Great location by the river. Good for walking about. Interesting Art Museum very close by featuring architecture and design.

Boris Wei of the Club Lounge was exceedingly helpfu in solving issues at the Business Center. He was patient and cheerful throughout the more than an hour of helping us resolve issues which we urgently required. He was polite and serve us with a smile and was professional in doing in job at the lounge. We appreciate what Boris and his other colleague did for us. Thank you to Boris and his team for their kind assistance. We had a great stay at the Sheraton Zhongshan!
