Glacier Mountain Lodge

In the middle of nowhere to find such excellent accomodation is fabulous.

For one night we have no complaints at all.

The location is good for us as it is exactly halfway between BC and Alberta. I have done this drive several times before with my two kids and Blue RIver is a good place to stop and rest.

Upon arrival, the woman who was working there did not greet us at all. When I approached the desk to tell her we had a reservation, she ignored me and when I inquired as to if she needed any further information, unsure what she was doing, she briefly looked up and acknowledged me. When my two kids approached the desk she just glared at them in a super intense and off putting way, as if she was unhappy of their presence. After that I was so put off by her rude and unfriendly behaviour and wanted to end our interaction as soon as possible. I felt uncomfortable the entire stay and could not wait to get out of there. Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable and itchy for whatever reason. She also put us in the room that shares a wall with the eating area on the main floor so it was noisy. We will definitely not be there again. I also paid $200 for the room, which was far too much for what we got.

Pipes banging on the wall and hollow sounding floors but everything else excellent. We forgot an item and them called us right away.

Beautiful surroundings, very quiet and the little Grizzly Food Shack outside was amazing!
