Edgewater Motel Te Anau

Great location, super friendly staff. easy to connect to wifi. good price for room in older style motel.

From the outside it looks old & dated. Looks are deceiving. Inside it is a great room. Large walk-in shower, kitchen, 2 beds & sitting area by TV

Stayed 2 nites. Basic apartment not a fully equipped kitchen, Only hv microwave. Walking distance to Lake Te Anau, eateries, supermarkets, local tour to Glowworm and is a good place to stayover to/fro Milford Sound.

Newly decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean ideal location, would definitely stay again.

Close to town centre. Motel room undergoing renovations and was lucky to have the newly renovated room.

There’s a lot to like about this motel. The warm and friendly reception, view of the lake from the lakefront unit, free use of bikes, and convenient location. Unfortunately, the king size mattress in our room was in desperate need of replacement. There are two very noticeable dips in the mattress, so it was impossible to find a flat portion to sleep on. I was forced to sleep right in the middle of the bed, between the two dips. My husband slept on the twin bed in the living room. It appears that some of the rooms are being renovated so probably not all the rooms have lumpy beds. If you want the view, though, this is the only room that is lakefront.

I had left my laptop charger at home and the receptionist was very helpful trying to find me one they had to fit.

Close to town and right across the road from lake. A bit tight for parking, but not a big problem. Lovely modern kitchenette and bathroom

Great place to stay

Te Anau is a sleepy town that serves as a stopover to Milford and Doubtful Sounds. Edgewater offered a comfortable stay and updated facilities. The best perk was a great kitchenette with a burner and skillet so that we could cook for ourselves. The laundry available 24/7 was also great for our halfway point. Overall strong stay.
