Bukela Game Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve

We can not express enough how amazing our trip was to Bukela! From the moment we arrived everyone was just amazing and welcoming and really made us feel at home. It was my husbands 30th and they made it so special! I can’t thank them enough. Beautiful stay, beautiful place and beautiful people

Had an amazing start from our arrival to departure. The staff was exceptional. Very attentive and interactive. Excellent food service, tastefully prepared. Room was spacious and very clean. My driver for the game drives was very knowledgeable. Only thing I didn't like ...was leaving 😞

We spent 3 nights here at the start of May, this was the first stop on our trip to South Africa and it set the standard high! The luxury safari tent overlooking the watering hole was just beautiful, such wonderful attention to detail. The food was delicious and the staff were great, could not have been more welcoming. We managed 6 game drives on our visit and our guide Evance was absolutely brilliant! The sights that we saw will stay in our memories forever. Would love to return.

Spent 6 nights at Bukela and it was a magical experience. Our guide Wonga was amazing and made the twice daily game rides the highlight. He is the BEST! Kind, knowledgeable and funny. Ana I. The kitchen created delicious, varied menus. Accommodations were perfection. Everyone was amazing. Go!

Nothing

We were met with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Our lodge was well appointed with a huge 4 poster bed and comfortable chairs and our own balcony with loungers. The fridge had complimentary beers and soft drinks. We were advised not to walk to our room in the dark without an escorts but we were never attacked by any animals! The game drives were excellent and we saw all the animals as desired. Food and service was good. Only issue we had was no water in the bath but the shower was ok. Our room was in need of some TLC. Overall an excellent stay

This trip exceeded all our expectations! The lodge was simple, yet elegant! The luxury tent was amazing! Loved that there were only 28 guests maximum. Food was delicious and plentiful! Staff were lovely - friendly and attentive. The daily drives were great! We saw so many animals and our guide, Corlia, was incredible! Knowledgeable and friendly! Made great friends with the folks in our safari vehicle. Would definitely recommend to others! It was a bucket list trip for us and we were not disappointed!
