Evening meal was expensive for the average quality meal. The billing was very confusing and needs to be much clearer

Beautiful room with big bed and private bathroom in a beautiful house. Fantastic view from balcony. Optional dinner was delicious and the pork steaks were fantastic. Breakfast was included and great in the morning.

This is NOT what it appears to be on the photos. I always accept a place for what it is and don’t like writing bad reviews but there was nothing to like about this property. I booked this old place wanting to experience the feel of a welcoming casa. Instead the experience was terrible in many ways.

This is not off the camino. The instructions to get there are bad. When I called for guidance the woman who answer was very cold and told me she could not help. We took a taxi and as soon as we arrived were treated like cattle instead of like guests. We immediately noticed a strong smoke odor that permeated the rooms. It was mixed with an incense or room deodorizer of some kind. There was no warm welcome - just instructions. No information on the facilities. This older blonde haired woman first asked for payment and then handed us a piece of paper with fixed menu items. We had to check off what we wanted for dinner which she said was at 8:00 pm for us. No choice We decided to go to town and eat elsewhere. When we returned I asked the same women if later I could make some tea. She replied. “Did you bring your own bag of tea”? I said no. “Then you must ask ME for tea! and you must take it now because the kitchen is closing “. “Pay now”. I explained I had no change at that moment - “Then pay with credit card” When we went to our rooms we had to open all the windows even though it was cold. The terrible smell of smoke and room deodorizer was too much. It was hard to breathe. I went back downstairs and asked her about it and she replied raising her voice “There is no smoke smell here. I don’t know what you’re talking about! Unless of course you’ve burnt something in your room!” I really could not believe how defiant and rude this women was throughout the whole stay. She seems to be the owner or manager. The next morning we found out there is a wood burning factory close by. Also, the property uses strong vanilla deodorizer to cover the smoke smell.
