The location is great - it is near to a lovely walk Gallery Gorge - and the main road is two minutes away . There is also a nice restaurant next to the office.

The room had nice fern trees growing outside. The "cottages" although separate from each other are tightly bunched around the carpark. The location was good for the short walks near the Franz Josef glacier, and is almost next door to the very good Alice May restaurant. The room has a kitchenette area, and also has a table for dining on.

Unfortunately the glacier itself has receded by about 3 kilometres, so it didn't seem possible to get much of a view of it. We got a better glacier view by driving to Fox glacier and driving to the right for 10 kilometres where one can see the Fox Glacier from afar.

The room was comfortable with a small kitchen and shower room. It was close to all the amenities.

The parking was a bit tight, especially if one person doesn't park the right way.
