Château La Roca

Staff were very pleasant. The room very comfortable and food was fine. In all the hotel was ideal for an over night stopover

Very pleased with the room initially but one of the beds had coffee stained sheets, otherwise the room was very clean. The bathroom was very good, nice and clean with a very good shower. The room needs air conditioning as it is noisy with the window open and to keep the light out the shutters have to be fully closed as there are bright lights outside the window.The staff were polite and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good but the English version of the menu was hard to understand (a problem with translation?)

We used this hotel as a cheap stop over after getting off the ferry from England, before continuing our journey to benicarlo. The quality of service and condition of the hotel did not reflect the price, it was worth far more than we were charged for our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, before we checked out we rebooked for an overnight stay before our return ferry so we could board the ferry clean and relaxed before the long journey

Not too bad to find after arriving at Santander docks,which are huge but easy to navigate.No problems with language with a very pleasant receptionist.The room was very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom had everything we required .The on site bar and restaurant are also worth a visit.All in all a very good hotel from which to start our very long drive South.

I had a very enjoyable experience at this hotel, all the staff were friendly and helpful though there was a language barrier. I would reccomend this hotel to all my friends and I would stay there again in the future. 3 stars is under-rated for the service, cleanliness and comfort of the hotel.

Only stayed one night as in transit but very satisfied.

Tucked away and simple but very good value. Bed was comfortable and bathroom better than i expected for the price. We were staying just for a night as a family of four on our way through Spain and staying at this small hotel worked very well. The only small challenge was finding it late at night as my GPS was showing streets that don't seem to exist anymore.

The hotel is a little bit away from the centre of the city, about a 20 minute ride by bus, luckily the local commuter bus (couple mins walk away) comes by very frequently and we didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for one over 10 days. There is positives to living a little bit further, the area is more relaxed and quiet (25mins walk from a beach) and we even walked it into the city numerous days (40mins approx). The hotel staff were excellent and although they didn't all speak English they were all very welcoming and helpful. A few stood out as being particularly helpful teaching us some spanish and giving us some hints in places to go in the city. Would definitely recommend Chateau La Roca to any friend going to Santander.

Excellent value with very friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. We arrived on the ferry from Portsmouth and we found the location of the hotel easy to find on our Tom Tom. Would highly reconmend this hotel.
