Leeden Hotel Guangzhou

Staff and concierge were most helpful and friendly. We were very impressed with their eagerness and mannerism. Will definitely return if we visit Guangzhou again.

Wifi was bad in,the room

Good hotel to stay, but the free WiFi is very slow.

Room is premium for its pricing and its worth a return stay many times over. About 8 minutes walk to MTR Zhu Jiang Xin Cheng station and a Mega Shopping Mall. Area accessible. Near the hotel, there is a nice cafe for wine and dinner and a 24 hours convenience store.

Excellent hotel. I will stay again next time when I am in Guangzhou.

Clean hotel which was generous in service and in room food. Good water pressure for bath.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last six years. I have never been disappointed. The hotel is located in the Tianhe District in the Zhujiang New Town area. It is surrounded by a multitude of modern skyscrapers and office and residence buildings. The new town area is very quiet, modern, clean and quite different from other parts of Guangzhou. The Zhujiang New Town subway station is just a block away. Use Exit A2 from the subway station to get to the hotel. Just around the hotel are quite a few restaurants (Both Western & Asian) and gastro pubs that have sprouted up in the last few years. The hotel is also very close to the US Consulate, and Tianhe Park that was build for the Asian Games. The park is very beautiful at night. It get completely lit up, and draws a lot of people. It is just a great place to hangout especially at night. The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are very clean, modern and extremely comfortable. We usually book the Executive room, which is decent in size, and includes free mini bar, free wifi, and free daily breakfast.(very good spread). The mattress, pillows etc are very comfortable. Linens and towels are of top quality. I visit during the Canton Fair and they offer a free shuttle to and from the Fair. There is also a 7 eleven, in the same building as the hotel. Very convenient for snacks and drinks etc.. The staff at the hotel is very polite and English has never been a problem. Book this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

The Hotel itself is located in a more quiet area. Its near to a shopping mall but tucked away enough to be clear from the crowds and noise. The lobby is adequate, free bottled water by the check-in counters was a nice touch. The room we got was a twin room executive. The rooms are nice and big. Toilet a bit small but complete. Faucet is a pain to use, the handle seems to want to come off. There's a walk-in closet which is a surprisingly nice addition to the room. TV entertainment has a good choice of english channels. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the fair grounds in Pazhou. A few problems though: 1. The room, although Non-smoking smelled of smoke. (Not surprised being in China) 2. The doorman to the elevator was a bit shocking to me. I am Chinese-Asian (Filipino) and when we got off the bus, I was singled out and asked for my hotel card before entering the elevator lobby. I didn't think much of it till a bit later. Singled out because I looked Chinese and was the only Asian in a bus of Caucasians. (OK, its good security but then again, it was rude.) He should have at least apologized when I showed him my hotel card. All he did was wave his hand at me. (Like telling me you can go...) Will I stay here again, yes. I am still angry at the doorman, No. Its the hotels duty to properly train staff. Not his fault. Say the least, apologize by saying sorry but then again, this is China. 3. Wifi is SLOW.

Good location, 10-15 minutes walk to the financial district and a very quiet area.
