Riverfront Lodge

There is a great cafe in walking distance called DC Diner that has a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is situated on the banks of the Cumberland river which is really nice.

The tv service is inconsistent.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms.

It felt like I went back to the 70s. When I checked in I got handed a physical key! Room was outdated. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Stains on literally everything (towels, sheets, carpet, toilet, shower, walls). For 2 queen sized beds we were only provided a total of 4 pillows. Tub and toilet seat was yellow stained. The toilet had a piece of TP in it when we checked in - the toilet flow was so bad that SAME piece of TP was in the toilet after several uses. We didn’t use the tv, but it was small. Quite literally everything besides the staff interaction was a bad experience. It is not worth the price considering it seems very few changes have been made in the past. Room was just plain awful and dirty.

Very reasonable rate. Great Location. The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Bathroom was large and had what we needed. The IGA and Dollar General right next to it made things even better. We enjoyed our stay and if needed we would stay here again.

Some of the lamps had no bulbs. Shower floor was slightly stained but most likely from age. TV didn't work at first but the employee fixed it quickly.

At first the property reminds you of a motel 6 or super 8 but when you get inside, everything is clean and new. Most comfortable bed that I slept in during my whole five day trip. I was bleary eyed tired when we arrived. Staff was friendly, patient and accommodating. Everything that you could possibly need is located in the plaza. I could even walk my pup on the river with no hassles. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
