Lovely old, secluded property nicely converted and modernised. Decent room, easy parking and fantastic breakfast. Lovely quiet area and helpful staff, too. Worth considering for a night before going to Gatwick but seems to be primarily a Wedding venue so may be 'livelier' at weekends.

Lovely and warm. Really nice old building. Delicious well cooked evening meal. Friendly staff. Only small down side was that the bar area was a bit gloomy and wasn't in keeping with the rest of the building

Lovely hotel in very nice location. On arrival room was overly warm. Room, when cooled down, was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Perfect hotel for overnight stay before heading to the airport, loved everything.

Food, bar, decor, service, bed was great. No aircon though

We would rate our one-night stay as totally fine! Everyone was helpful and welcoming. The hotel was pretty quiet, as it was Christmas Eve, though the walls are thin, and we could hear other guests throughout the stay. We had a drink at the bar and had dinner in the restaurant - the service was good at both, and the food was a bit above average. We also took a walk around the area, and though there aren’t necessarily designated walking places for pedestrians, the surrounding neighborhood was green and serene and beautiful. The hotel helped us arrange a taxi for the morning (Christmas), which was helpful.

Stayed for a Christmas do. Great service, super helpful staff.the atmosphere in the hotel is lovely and there were deer walking past the breakfast room in the morning.

Great location and vicinity for gatwick

One night stay prior to a family funeral. Plentiful parking, imposing building. Efficient check in though not over friendly. Our room was on the first floor. Strange shaped room that was plenty big enough but a bit awkward. Plenty hot water with decent pressure in the bathroom. The bedroom was cold and the heating was not switched on. Obviously this was a recognised problem as a plug in heater had been left for our use. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. We were booked half board. The food was very good at the evening meal but poor cereal choice at breakfast. Drinks a little pricey but to be expected in a hotel. Check out was straight forward. This hotel is ideal for anyone flying from Gatwick. We would definitely return here as it met our needs.

Room was nice, big and very clean One member of bar staff, more interested in phone than serving, one waitress in dining room, steak we had was nice but very over seasoned too salty and peppery and chips too.werent asked if meal was ok, lack of attention.Breakfast, we were left to get on with it , no instruction on how system worked e.g coffee machine, had to call waitress to order breakfast, overall hotel was very nice but waiting and bar staff could do with extra customer service training although they were very pleasant.
