Warm welcome. Dinner enjoyable (wife's pork was tough). Shame about the room temperature, was very cold.

"Nostalgic Trip to the Crown"

10.0

It was wonderful to return to The Crown after nearly 50 years and see it thriving as it was when my parents owned it in the seventies. It was very special to have a drink in the bar and remember times when I was the other side of it serving customers! We had dinner where I had my 21st birthday party and slept in a room that used to be the restaurant where I used to have a front of house role - all very nostalgic!

"Expectations comfortably exceeded - thank you!"

10.0

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here this weekend. We booked to stay in the Superior Double Room (also called the Junior Suite) and the hotel very kindly upgraded us to the Honeymoon Double Room (the Master Suite). This is a lovely spacious and tastefully decorated room with an excellent en-suite and a super comfortable bed. It is above the main public bar of the hotel but, unless you want to go to bed really early, this is not a problem, even on a busy Saturday, as it closes at 11pm and not much of the noise makes it up through the floor anyway. We certainly did not hear anything after that and enjoyed a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast is menu style rather than buffet and was delicious. All in all the hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

"Beautiful building"

10.0

The outside pictures don't do it justice. The building is super old, and has been very well adapted to having the rooms. The bed was really comfy, the shower was great, but it could have done with a better desk area. :-)
