The rooms are not as expected, we were initially put in separate parts of the property, which I understand as we booked quite last minute but still would have been nice to be told prior. The rooms inside the house lack privacy, at times other guests opened the door to our room thinking it was one of the communal spaces. The rooms in the horse stable area have no natural light and feel very basic. The communal areas in the main house, although pretty, aren’t very welcoming. There is nowhere to purchase drinks or coffee during the day should you feel like it, only a strange communal kitchen and kettle which felt like a hostel, and we had to ask for milk for tea. There was no tour of the property for us when we arrived, but we saw other guests doing olive oil tastings and going on tours. When we asked about the options of tours the receptionist was vague about whether they were actually on. The dinner was extremely overpriced and food wasn’t great, and the paired wines were sparse for the price. Overall the place lacks a bit of soul.
