"Excellent place to stay, and very cheap"

10.0

Excellent hostel. Nearby is both a frequent tram route to the old city and a bus connected the inner city and nearby the airport no 103. A shopping centre Otoka is within a five minutes walk with both shops open until 22, a big vegetable market and a post office. From Otoka you have anoher bus 102 that runs directly to the Olympic main arena and Olympic museum if you like to see that. I stayed at the hostel four nights and I liked it and felt nearly like at home. You have to understand that Sarajevo is mostly placed along a river so that it is very quite long distance from one end to another. If you stay in the old town the risk is that you only see that part of the town and miss the nice strolling along the Wilson promenade together with the every day life of many Sarajevos. It is like a wooden arched walking and running path where all cars are forbidden after 6 pm every day. The Gonzo hostel is located some kilometers outside the old town which is easily reachable with cheap public transport. In all it is a very convenient place to stay.

"Gentileza"

10.0

"Great stay in friendliest hostel ever!"

10.0

We stayed 2 nights in Sarajevo. The owner was kind, funny and honest guy plus he helped us with every question we had. We have travelled a lot and this was the best service we have ever had. Its a little bit away from centrum, but theres a trolleybus station 3 min walk away and you can easily get to centrum that way. Breakfast was ok. Go to Gonzo, if you wanna know what is Bosnian hospitality.

"Freundliches Personal in authentischem Hostel"

8.0

"Amazing owner"

10.0

Buses to the city center went about every 15 minutes, and it's quite nice to walk as well. The owner and receptionist were amazing, a really warm man who really took care of us and made us feel at home. He offered rides to the town, to and from the train station when we arrived and departured for free. A really kind man and breakfast was good too. Would definitely stay here again if I go to Sarajevo!

"Like home"

10.0

My rating is based on the price i paid for my stay. The staff were amazingly friendly! I've been in 30 countries and dozens of hostels and hotels. I've never felt more like home any other place! The breakfast was decent and flexible. I love the bosnian coffee! My room was big enough for me. The hostel isn't located in the middle of the city center, but with nearby buses, trams and cheap taxis it didn't really matter. The area was quiet and I felt safe walking around there by night. Once again, the staff was genuinely nice and friendly, and most off them had a really good english. On the downside, the shower was maybe a little cold during the winter time, but the oven made my room really warm, so it didn't really matter. It was also quite hard to find by foot from the train station, but a taxi would have found it and been really cheap anyways. Maybe there's directions on how to find the hostel on their website, i forgot to check. And the contact page on their website didn't work. But their mailadress does.
