Hostal Abril

Easy access from the GRAN VIA station, not CHUECA. Staff was very friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Fit my needs and budget perfectly.

At the photos in hotels.com webpage is a very different room called as single as I was placed. At the photo the room supposed to have sink and space on a both sides of the bed, and there are curtains which suggests that there should be a windows. I received a very tiny room with no sink and no window. The manager does not want to move me to another room (even they were empty) - he demand a double payment for moving me to another room. I stay there 3 nights. There are only a few rooms in hostel, no kitchen. The worst thing was that you can hear every movement in the entire hostel. The walls must be made from cartoons. The location of the hostel is fine, close to center. The facility was at 4th flow (with lift), clean, but I have to stress the noise in the hostel, from a corridor also made by sneezing receptionist and people walking and taking shower in the middle of a night.

per un cambio di programma imprevisto ho dovuto allungare il mio soggiorno a Madrid e x le ultime notti non sono riuscito a trovare sistemazioni alternative. Mi sono dovuto adattare al bagno in comune ma al di la' di questo l'hostal risultava nel complesso accettabile: aria condizionata, tv e wi-fi. Unico neo la camera non e' stata fatta e quindi non sono stati cambiati gli asciugamani. Del resto mi sono fermato solo 2 notti e complessivamente ho passato in camera poche ore, pertanto ho preferito soprassedere.

Das Hostal liegt inmitten einer Einkaufsstraße, 100m von der Gran Via entfernt. Zentraler geht's wohl kaum. Der Empfang war äußerst sympathisch und reibungslos. Die Frau an der Rezeption sprach neben spanisch und englisch, auch sehr gut deutsch. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer für 2 Nächte gebucht. Das Zimmer und Bad waren wirklich sehr klein, aber da ich da ja nur schlafen wollte und keinen längeren Aufenthalt geplant hatte ausreichend. Leider war es auch ein bisschen dunkel, weil mein Fenster zum Aufzug und Treppenaufging führte und daher mit einer Jalousie abgedunkelt war. Da liegt auch das andere Problem: Sobald des Nächtens der Lift angefordert wurde, stand man senkrecht im Bett. Das war wirklich sehr laut! Naja, mit Ohropax war auch das zu ertragen... Der Fernseher hat nur ein paar spanische Sender, also für jemanden, der nicht gut spanisch spricht, war das keine Option. Check out bis um 12Uhr ist sehr entspannt. Wer erst später abreist, sagt einfach bescheid und das Gepäck wird in einen Aufbewahrungsraum gebracht. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (70€ für 2 Nächte) in dieser Lage sehr gut und ich würde es für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt jederzeit wieder buchen (vielleicht nach einem anderen Zimmer fragen ;)).

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Hôtel en plein centre ville de Madrid, idéal pour visiter la ville. Personnel très sympathique. Le seul bémol serait l'isolation des murs intérieurs extrêmement légère.

Habitaciones cuidadas y limpias con aire acondicionado. Personal correcto.

El hostal esta excelentemente bien ubicado, en una zona muy segura dia y noche, de mucho movimiento, muy turistica, a dos cuadras de la estacion de metro gran via y de la parada del bus turistico, tiene todo cerca, restaurantes, bares, tiendas. Barrio muy alegre y concurrido por locales y turistas. Las instalaciones muy bien mantenidas, muy limpio, el personal muy amable y servicial. Lavanderia muy cerca. Farmacia y supermercado a una cuadra. Definitivamente, me volveria a hospedar ahi.

Very good quiet location and a clean modern room, excellent bed making and a super bathroom. Would recommend.

El hostal está muy bien, es limpio, céntrico, con ascensor y servicio de consigna. Está decorado con gusto (al menos desde mi punto de vista) y el wifi va de maravilla, pero me decepcionó que no me advirtiesen que la habitación no tenía ventana. Creo que eso es algo que deben mencionar antes de que el cliente pague la habitación y, sobre todo, cuando el cliente hace una reserva.
