Fantastic host, a lovely large room and an amazing breakfast!

This was such a lovely homely small hotel. The rooms are comfy with thoughtful touches. We had a lovely sea view. The staff are incredible and the breakfast was delicious. Small touches like an honesty bar & snack bowl just added to the homely feel. Also loved the location at the top of a quieter street but close enough to everything to walk.

So ein herzliches Willkommen, dass ich mich direkt heimelig gefühlt habe 😊 Ich habe ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen, das Zimmer war zauberhaft mit Zugang zur Terrasse mit Pool und Meerblick. Kleine inklusive Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kaffee und frischgebackener Kuchen haben das Willkommen nach einem langen Flug perfekt gemacht. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, das Zimmer hervorragend ausgestattet (zb Poolhandtücher, Bademantel), das Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich und speziell Melanie machte meinen Aufenthalt mit ihrer Herzlichkeit zu etwas ganz besonderem. Ich war 5 Nächte dort und ich werde definitiv wieder kommen!

This is a beautiful guest house in a quiet street but still within walking distance of Sea Point. Our room was lovely and spacious with a stunning view from the balcony. Melanie and her staff are gracious hosts who make you feel really welcome. Breakfast is super and the coffee is so good. A really good salt water pool and very pretty gardens just round it all off. This will be my go to venue in CT from now on.

Breakfast was very good with a good variety of food. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really appreciated being able to leave our luggage on site while we explored the neighbourhood before flying out later that evening. Grounds are nicely shaded and you do get a nice view down to the sea and back to Lion's Head. Easy to get an Uber and a safe walk to the bars restaurants, and shops close by. Pool was refreshing! Our friends enjoyed their walk from the Walden to the V & A waterfront along the coastal promenade (during the day).

There are steep hills in the neighbourhood and the walk up to the Walden can be taxing, especially when it is warm. There is an elevator in the building but not sure if we could access it or not to move our luggage upstairs. There is construction behind the building which was noisy first thing in the morning. Unfortunately it will also degrade the view back to Lion's Head. They did advise us before hand about the construction which was appreciated.
