"Great hotel, lovely staff"

10.0

My second visit to this hotel to ski the lovely Madonna di campiglio area! Clean comfortable and amazing food, I'm vegan and I was accommodated very well on both occasions, no way was I going to starve!! Nothing was too much trouble. It's a 2o minute bus trip to Madonna but worth it as its half the price of staying in the main resort. Totally recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

"Great base for a value ski holiday"

10.0

I loved this hotel. Room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom and plentiful hot water. Rooms were equipped with a tv and safe for valuables. Staff were excellent, friendly attentive and always on hand when needed. There is convenient ski equipment storage in the adjoining building and the boot room is heated so damp boot linings dry overnight. Travel to the slopes was by bus from stop opposite the hotel, once on the mountain irs easy to ski between the different resort areas (Folgarida, Madonna etc). Food at the hotel was freshly cooked and plentiful, evening meals were 4 courses. They were happy to accommodate any dietary requests and provided a good variety choices for vegan and vegetarian guests. The bar area was well lit and comfortable; decorated with plenty of quirky conversation pieces which is good if you run out of things to talk about with fellow travellers. Freshly cooked snacks were served every afternoon on return from skiing, no matter how early or late we returned, snacks would be there within a few minutes. I really enjoyed my stay here, it has such a relaxed atmosphere and I loved meeting the owners little dog who was so friendly and affectionate. A great hotel with a fantastic atmosphere, and everything you need for a good ski holiday.

"Very cold hotel even in relatively mild weather"

4.0

The hotel is very quiet apart from the road noise. Food was of a good standard. Waiting staff was very good. They only take cash. TV is limited only one english channel. Room and bathroom was cold. Shower was rather small but water was of a good temperature. No dressing gowns so all towels were utilised to keep warm. Location isn't bad cash point opposite. There is a ski bus that runs from 8.45 and returns at 4.00. Doubt if I would come back would rather pay a bit more and have somthing of a better standard. Room was spacious.

"Noisy"

4.0

We stayed one night and it was certainly one too many. Room was noisy, hotel had many rules to follow, there wasn't soap etc in the bathroom. Breakfast was the poorest I've ever seen!!! Even coffee tasted bad. I do not recommend!

The hotel is located on a quite busy road but is very close to a really good sports bar and also a pizza restaurant. Would go back thank you !

"New Year at Hotel Dolomiti"

8.0

We were a large group of friends staying at Hotel Dolomiti for a week over the New Year period. The hotel and dining room were busy, but this did not impact the excellent service that we received from Bruna and her team. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meals consisted of a cold meat/cheese/salad buffet, followed by 3 small, simple, but delicious cooked courses. On two occasions a few of us were drinking in the hotel lounge until the early hours of the morning. Well after midnight, Billy (the chef) provided us with plates of cold meats, cheese, pickled vegetables and on one occasion a bottle of sparkling wine. There was no charge and this was very much appreciated. I would assume that most people will be staying here for the skiing at Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio. We were doing a range of winter of activities and only had 2 days skiing at Folgarida. Access to the resort is by ski bus about 100 metres from the hotel. The buses are not that frequent, but we caught the 8:30 each morning. The last bus is quite late and the public buses can be very full. The hotel provided us with a pass which gave us free use of the ski bus. Our double room was simple, good size, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi internet access was initially only available from the lounge, but this was resolved and became available later in the week in the rooms. I would have no hesitation staying here again; in fact one of our friends is already planning a return trip.

"Not properly nice"

6.0

Well, I'm sorry to write this not-nice review since the owners are kind of friends but I have to tell that the hasty welcome and the imperative rules for dinner and breakfast timing at the check-in did not impress me positively. Poor furnishing, very basic, fitted carpeted rooms, with no air conditioned. Food is great, especially during typical dinners.

"Great rooms, confusing breakfast!"

8.0

Lovely rooms with balconies - we had two adjacent rooms with a shared en-suite. These were high quality, nicely decorated and lovely spacious ensuite. Good location. Very nearby lovely pizzeria, very reasonable prices. Breakfast was a rather confusing affair. Buffet style continental breakfast - fairly limited selection, short on bread. Hot drinks were obtained via a waitress who uses a hot drinks machine. It seems she will not/ has been told not to, bring the drinks to your table. She will let your know your drink is ready, and then tell you to get it from the machine. One day I asked for a hot chocolate, to be met with a simple "no", with no further comment or offer of an alternative. The next day I heard her say "Cioccolata?" to someone nearby - thinking she meant me, I replied "Si, grazie". The response this time was "It's not for you." She did however make me one later, and then tell me I must go to the machine to collect it. I felt truly baffled by the whole hot drinks situation, as did a number of other guests. There were often not enough bowls/ spoons/ milk etc on the buffet table for you to be able to eat breakfast without having to ask for various bits and pieces. Having said this, the waitress did seem quite friendly, we just felt very confused as to what the "rules" were. It is unclear whether breakfast is self-service e.g use the drinks machine yourself or served e.g waitress brings drinks to your table. . The lady who runs the hotel and her husband were both friendly, and the lady in particular speaks excellent English. We had internet access in our rooms.
