Coming to such a hight altitud, one needs a lot of comfort. We found the hotel good for one night, but not a place to stay for long. The people were great and very accomodating.

Location is ok. Walkable from the bus station and to the main square. Basic breakfast. The hotel is clean and quiet.

so a few days ago i checked in and said to the hotel i think there is something wrong with your plug because the adaptor would not go all the way in and i was not going to force it. they brought out an electricion to look a the plug and then he looked at my adaptor and he broke my adaptor! the hotel said they would pay for a new one. i leave tomorrow and have yet to get one replaced and the person at the counter said that they will not give me money to replace it when i get home. when i got a upset about his response he then threatened to call the cops on me. never booking here again.

If you're planning to visit La Paz on a tight budget, this is the place to stay. The staff is very helpful and most of them speak English. I opted for a room with shared bathroom and was very pleased with my experience. Rooms were clean and heat was available throughout the entire day. Shared bathrooms were well maintained and hot water was easily available. The breakfast lady was really sweet and food was great!

The hostal was a wonderful oasis of calm. During our stay, there were many street protests so we really appreciated that.

Other hotels I'd stayed in on my travels were cold & draughty. (Restaurants too). This was not. Staff were friendly. Room spacious. Breakfast included. Thumbs up from me...

Place was great! Loved the old architecture. I had a single room and shared bathroom. If I come back I'll def stay here again. Great value Great staff!
