"Perfect break"

Lovely welcoming team at the hotel. Decided to eat at the hotel reataurant for our evening meal and had excellent food and service. Comfy room and short walk to the centre of Pitlochry so perfect for our short break. Breakfast was good with views overlooking the nearby hills.

"A very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends"

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Warm atmosphere. Nothing was too much bother. Beautiful location. Great choice of breakfast and lovely restaurant.

Only small detail was pillows on bed not comfortable, otherwise no complaints at all.

"Underwhelming restaurant. Hotel facilities okay."

Location

Our experience in the ‘the award winning restaurant’ was not good at all. Booked a table for 7.15 pm for 4 people. Was informed we would be shown to our table at 7.15. At 7.30 we asked what was happening. Shown to a table that had not been cleaned or set. First course arrived on time but then we had a lengthy wait for the second course which arrived at about 8.50pm. By this time we were all very hungry after a four hour drive to reach the restaurant. Two of us had ordered the vegetable curry special. It only had potatoes in it and one or two shreds of aubergine. When we complained about this the waiter said it was because the other vegetables must have fallen to the bottom of the pan. One of us ordered a chicken curry special. This was too salty to be edible. The staff offered us all a free dessert by way of compensation and asked why we had eaten the vegetable curry if we weren’t happy with it. We explained that we were too hungry by the time it arrived to not eat it. Altogether a poor experience.

"Great little hotel and great value for money."

Staff were very friendly, room (& hotel) was very clean. It was quiet and whilst not right in the town centre as such, it is only a 5-10 mins walk or so (Really not a big deal). And if walking isn't an option, it's a 2 mins drive to the town. Surpassed my expectations.

That I didn't get a chance to try the evening meals!
