Budget Inn Ontario

I went to check in & the place was truly filthy & scary. I talked to the people at the restaurant next door & they told me this hotel was well known in the community as a place used by prostitutes. There were 2 creepy guys smoking on some outdoor steps, the place was very run down and I did not feel safe staying there. I asked the middle eastern man that I had to call on a filthy phone in the so called lobby for a refund & was told I had to go through booking.com

Filthy, rundown, unsafe, unsavory people hanging around.

The place is a dump, dirty, smells awful as soon as you enter the building. The room was nasty, carpet stains, rotting wood inside the room.

Had some druggy low life sitting at the entrance everyday scrounging for cigarette butts in the outside ashtray the guy looked homeless yet he was going in and out of the building.

The proximity to where I needed to be was the ONLY good thing I can say about it.

This hotel was HORRIBLE. You should be ashamed for it to carry the name Budget Inn. The carpets were filthy. The room reeked. Everything I touched was sticky. The The hallways were filled with staged or leftover construction material. There was no one at the desk when I arrived. I had to phone someone to check in. I never saw another employee in the two days I was there. I could hear people running up and down the stairs for hours after midnight. As I returned to my room one night, a shirtless shoe-less young man disassembled the ash can by the front door and dug in the rubbish for a cigarette stub and then smoked it. Had I been traveling with my wife, I would have turned around immediately. The only reason I stayed was that it was convenient for the personal business i had in a rural area.

For some reason, this review wasn't going through til now 😒 This place is one of the worst we've stayed in. Don't let the upgraded outside fool you.... it's raggedy inside. So first we get there and are like wow, the exterior is beautiful. We park and start to go inside. They have a soda machine outside the front entrance which was kind of weird. We get inside and no one comes out to the desk for like 10-15 minutes. I start looking around and notice a 70s couch off to one side in a little alcove under the stairs. Someone finally comes and he looks super disheveled and pretty unprofessional. I started worrying if this was a fleabag motel but we were so tired, we didn't want to continue driving. We get our room key, and head over to our room which is literally across from the front desk 😩 We get inside and omg! What terrible furnishings. Like they picked people's stuff from the curb. I know we paid pretty cheap but for the hotel brand, I'd expect something better than this. The bathroom mirrors had circular stains on all of them. The tub caulking was gross. The toilet and countertop was nice though. Clean towels. The cupboard above the fridge was literally like it came from someone's curb after a 70s remodel. It also was basically on its last leg. It came with a microwave, mini fridge, and hairdryer. None of the furniture matched and the wood over the hanger pole needed replacing. The chair and carpet had stains. The door security was pretty flimsy. The view wasn't awful, but the window was super grimy. The a/c, tv, lights and plugs all worked though. I can't remember if the bed was comfortable. No amenities here. Really disappointed that we should've more thoroughly checked the beds, as we found a dead and live bed the next morning on the actual mattress. We thoroughly checked our stuff to be sure we didn't take any with us. We have never encountered this before at any motel or hotel we've stayed at, so we were kind of in shock. We went to the front desk and they gave us a hard time. We reported it as soon as we noticed them though. I'll mention, nothing happened to our car overnight. Saving money isn't worth it here.

We never saw Norman for the hour we managed to stay , but there were obvious signs he'd been here. You got the feeling very bad things had happened there. Sign on door said please use chain lock for your protection. Needless to say we couldn't get out fast enough

We just wanted a room that was cheap, clean, and safe. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that you get what you pay for. The room was cheap, but it was not clean and it did not give us the feeling of safety. Many things were broken, the foyer area smelled. They only had one lock on the door - no chain or secondary lock. They advertised wifi but we had none. Never again. Pay a few dollars more and get a better room - you won't regret it.

Uploading photos. You will regret booking here. We were there two days with no maid service and had to ask for clean towels. There were holes in the wales and sheets. Stay anywhere but here. The caretakers are rude. The lobby is tacky.

Nasty Dirty we were on the ground floor and there were NO locks on the sliding windows not even a stick or bar to secure them with. an old tube type tv . trash in the bathroom plaster falling from the ceilings and mold in the shower. never again

This hotel is an absolute DIVE! We bought it on a "take a chance" choice on Expedia. If you value your life, possessions, or health. Do NOT stay here. It should be condemned. New York State should be ashamed that they have not inspected and done so. Expedia should have some minimum standard for allowable bookings.
