Hotel Oásis Atlântico Praiamar

This property is very old. DON"T play with their cats in this hotel because they bite!

not a good experience... staff is unprofessional, like school kids!!!..... food at the hotel restaurant is bad and overpriced!!! staff walking in your room with out knocking??!!!!! etc etc etc etc etc etc i don’t have time for this...end internet connection from 1995 !!!

As good as a Cape Verde 4 star can be. The rooms need a bit of renovation but the view is great and the surroundings are quiet.

Nice hotel and a good location. And the breakfast is really good.

Not really special, but not that bad as well

Good: Close to airport and two beaches, quiet part of town, near a great restaurant with tuna steak on hot rock dish, friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet. Bad: Expensive for what you get, shower didn't drain and had little to no hot water, toilet took an hour to refill, AC unit light lit up the room like daytime all night long. Overall: I'm betting there are hotels around with all the good and less of the bad, and will stay somewhere else next time.

I stayed at the hotel four nights and things sort of went downhill after the first. To start, hot water in the bathroom was always lukewarm - it never got very hot and would get cold during a shower at times. Then it seems like there was a problem with electricity: I received a note - slid under the door - the second night about a power outage scheduled for the following day. That day the phone stopped working and didn't function again until my departure two days later so I had to use my mobile phone to order room service. Speaking of food: whereas the buffet breakfast is nice and plentiful, room service is not worth the price... Nothing I ordered was impressive or very tasty. Lastly, an issue with AC made the temperature fluctuate between cool and warm/humid the last day. So, overall I'm giving the hotel 3 stars because the location is great, decor in the lobby is nice, room was clean, and all the staff members I met were very professional. That's it. PS: I had to send my clothes to the laundry (and pay) for them to be ironed.. This is inconvenient. Please reconsider this.

It was overall a nice stay, but for a single woman traveler, seen coming out of the hotel for a walk, you are approached by men. It was easy enough to avoid by taking a taxi for $1 during the day and $2 at night.

Everything was great. Only complaint; Internet is not great in the rooms bit great in the reception area.

pool with sea water but very nice. Not close to a nice beach. Wifi was good and everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay fun and enjoyable.
