Few days before my check-in date, without any appointment or text msg, calls were made to me asking for advance payment. I asked them to show Booking.Com communication. It was harassment - I wrote to them about harassment, on the whatsapp. They stopped. Once I checked in, they took my money, and I had to pursue them, and waste my precious vacation time, seeking a proof of payment and invoice. upon my insistence, they gave the invoice around 1pm on my 2nd day of stay. All "pay upon checkin" hotels should be asked to not chase customers for advance payments, and issue tax invoice while receiving payments.
