Quiet , easy access
Nice room just as we expected. The property looks like it could use a little TLC around the pool and such. But nothing a good pressure washing couldn't handle.
I didn't realise there were steps to our room, but then I didn't asked when booking. The shower needs looking at. Hard to adjust. A bowl for the microwave would be of help.
The parking other customers take your parking space. People slamming doors the bed was nice but to soft

We chose this motel for its convenient location to family in rest home and the river for walking. We chose to cancel our booking the evening that we arrived. The owner still charged our card for entire booked period even though we asked them not to, we would pay cash for the 2 nights required for the cancellation policy to avoid the international fees on our cc. The room was not pleasant. Carpet was sticky and room smelled, pillows were old and horrible, kitchenette items were not clean, blinds in bathroom were filthy, blinds in the entry (being glass walls and windows) were broken and did not operate - no privacy, other people sat on our individual entrance porch and smoked!! This stay was not a pleasant experience. Fees for the transaction charged were not refunded. Then they accused us of taking a pillow.
On arrivel the staff were very helpful i needed to use a cpap machine and was upgraded to a suite which was exellent.I had a car but you could walk through the park by the main entrance across the river bridge to a very nice place for drinks and dinner. Food vas very good. All shops are close. Although the main road was close with the patio doors shut i heard no road noise at all. The hotel alos has a function room. I'm from the uk and have been traveling around the north Island for six weeks,staying in different places every couple days. Would highly recomend. I am a 67 year old male solo travaler.
