Two Tree Motel & Lodge

Beautifully decorated room, spacious and easy to move around. The bed was large and comfortable, the dining table was a decent size for the room and the fridge was a good size and included fresh milk and water. The bathroom was a good size and modern.

There was just a tiny bit of noise from the neighbouring room as there was a baby in there which was crying but it wasn't over loud and easy to distract from.

My husband and I stayed at the property for two nights as part of our honeymoon travelling around New Zealand. The property was spotlessly clean & ideally located for a short stay in Blenheim to join a wine tour. Carparking was available.

Online booking information stated that check-in was available from 14:00 to 23:30, while the property’s own website only mentioned check-in from 14:00 with no end time specified. At 21:30, the host called and left a voicemail asking where I was. Upon arrival, I was questioned about my whereabouts, which felt somewhat passive and intrusive given that I was still within the stated check-in window. When I showed the online booking confirmation indicating the later check-in time, there was no apology; instead, the host seemed surprised & stated that this information was inaccurate. I also received no prior communication from the host regarding check-in or check-out procedures. The first indication that check-in supposedly ended at 19:00 was a poster on the reception door upon arrival. My husband and I were travelling from the Northern Island. It seems unlikely that we would be the first guests to arrive after 19:00, especially as the ferry arrives in Picton at 19:00 which is at least half an hour from Blenheim. Clearer and more consistent communication between booking platforms and the property would be beneficial to avoid confusion for future guest

Lovely place, clean and tidy, great location and friendly staff

Our toaster although it showed a light, didn’t actually toast and we couldn’t ask as reception is closed until 2pm. The bed was sadly too soft for us and the walls are paper thin. We could hear everything the couple next door said 🫣
