"Great for room."

8.0

The apartment is massive. So much space. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We had lots of space. And ot has 2 bathrooms!

We were at a front/road facing apt. Just over the road entrance to the bar. Very noisy at night up to 12 . And nice and lively 1st thing in the morning with a guy with a leaf blower and buses dropping and collecting

"Best apartments and lovely area"

10.0

This was by far one of my favourite holidays and a lot of that was down to these apartments. The rooms are really spacious and having 2 bathrooms (in a 2 bed apartment) was a great bonus. They are exceptionally clean - not just the apartment itself but also the pool, bar and all communal areas. The staff very all really lovely - especially Mansa (?) who organised most of the entertainment as well as the 2 evening bar staff sorry I didnt get your names). The entertainment was quiet some nights which is to be expected when you are out of season but alot of effort was still put into providing it. There was a mini disco eavh evening as well as bingo and or quizzes. Earlier in the evening there was crafts, facepainting/tattoos, billards, archery etc. The area itself was so peaceful and quiet, being in a predominantly residential area but still only 10 min walk along the beach to the main tourist area. 2 min walk to the beach. Lots of supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Several climbing frames nearby as well as an outdoor gym and a park across the road where my son played a bit of football with some new friends from the hotel and local teenagers. Water park is 10mins walk from apartments but it only opens in June. We didn't go to Portaventura but you can easily get a bus to it. We got a bus to Tarragona a few times as well as to Salou and Cambrils. Bus stop just around the corner where you can buy a family use card for 10 euros for 10 journeys and then next 10 only costs 6.50 if you still have the card - amazing value. We all had an amazing time and will most definitely be back. A big thank you to all the staff 😁

"It was ok"

5.0

The pool side was very relaxing and I liked that what ever time of the day it was you would always get a sun lounger

Not enough bar staff and the sun loungers were always dirty especially with bird poo… two toilet rolls for 4 people with two bathrooms absolutely ridiculous and then 4 days later you would receive another two rolls they are basic needs forget the small shower gels and give more toilet rolls …

Lovely, friendly staff, close to the beach and a fab, clean room, pool was nice, had to get the taxi into salou a few times as there aren't many shops (front desk staff were extra helpful ordering taxis for us), last orders bar was particularly good, staff are extremely friendly an helpful and the food is amazing. Some of the restaurants and cafes in la pineda are very good at a fairly cheaper price.

"AVOID - patio doors do not lock and manager lied about it!!"

2.0

My daughter finished her higher exams and still had a week left of study leave, so we decided to go on a girls trip for 4 nights, and ended up staying here. I didn't find the hotel particularly central - there were a few places to eat nearby, but I would say it was more like cafes than restaurants. We went to Portavenura theme park for the day, catching the bus just around the corner from the hotel. The reception staff and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was pleasant enough and plenty sunbeds. Our room was on the third floor - it was clean and extremely spacious, however this is where my review turns negative. I noticed as soon as we arrived in the room that the patio doors leading out to the balcony did not lock. I immediately reported this to reception and it was logged in a book. It was a Sunday evening - we didn't unpack incase we were moved rooms but went out for a few hours, taking all our valuables with us. When we returned around 10.30pm, I checked and nothing had been done about the door, so I went back to reception. There was a different receptionist now working so I explained the circumstances - he said he would get someone up straight away. Shortly afterwards a manager appeared at our door and said that it was law in Salou that patio doors do not lock, so that there is a fire escape for customers, as well as access for the fire brigade in the event of an emergency. I said I have been holidaying in Spain for over 20 years and have never heard of this in my life - patio doors have always locked. He said that is the law and the hotel have to abide by it. I said "so anyone can gain access to my room then?" and he replied "if they can fly". I pointed out that anyone could climb across the balcony from either side and come into my room - he laughed and said that has never happened in 23 years. As a result, I never slept a wink the whole holiday and had to baricade the patio doors up with furniture every night when my daughter and I went to bed. I was extremely suspicious of this information as couldn't understand why neither of the 2 receptions mentioned it to me when I reported to them that the door wasn't locking? I tried to find information on this "law" he spoke of, as did my husband back in the UK, however neither of us could find any information on it. I also asked 3 other hotel guests when chatting around the pool, all of whom confirmed that their patio doors locked. I do not appreciate being lied to, and am absolutely disgusted that the safety of my daughter and I was put at risk, therefore would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning!
