Grand Hôtel du Golf & Palace

Excellent location on the golf course, good breakfast, interesting decor.

Lack of attention to detail, only one pillow, only 1 bath towel, the spa area was unmanned. It did not feel like a very expensive 5 star hotel.

Wunderschöne Athmosphäre im Stil glorreicher alter Zeiten. Sehr schön erhalten, gepflegt und restauriert. Sehr freundliches, authentisches und serviceorientiertes Personal. Man spürt die Handschrift eines Familienunternehmens. Erstklassiges Restaurant. Vor allem das Frühstück ist fabelhaft. Zudem das Ambiente des Restaurantbereichs: geschmacklich wunderschöne Einrichtung mit vielen wertvollen Antiquitäten und Stilelementen. Exzellenter Spa. Unfassbar gute Massage Treatments. Tolle Lage der Terrasse direkt am Abschlag von Hole 15. Besonders zu empfehlen ist ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Golfplatz.

Restaurierungsarbeiten an der Frontfassade des Hotels. Gerät aber schnell in Vergessenheit, wenn man im Hotel ist. Gehe auch davon aus, dass dies nur temporär so war. Zudem fände ich es gut, wenn das Hotel Ladestationen für Elektroautos zur Verfügung hält. Das scheint aber generell ein Problem der Schweiz zu sein.

From the breakfast to the old rooms, nothing worked. This is not a 5 star hotel or a Palace. I think about the poor staff who have to indure this.

Old and shabby Very small, old and creaky lift No shower head holder in the bathroom Antiquated carpets and furniture - something out of an Agatha Christie murder story No hand rail going down one set of stairs Room small for supposed five star; only one chair to sit on View over parking, and not the golf course, as advertised Cheapest toilet paper available No kettle or in room coffee or tea Musty smell in corridors The hotel was empty , yet they put us next to noisy lift Bed too soft for our liking Wallpaper starting to peel in the corner of the bedroom Breakfast never worth 25 Frs per person; though the bread and cakes were nice
