"Gorgeous hotel, stunning view"

10.0

Fantastic hotel, with friendly staff. We had a garden room which was big and roomy. Each night there was a little treat to come home too on your bed! Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. It was a 15 minute walk down to town (probably 20 minutes back up hill!) where there is the beach and great bars and restaurants. It's very easy to stay at the hotel though and enjoy the sun terrace and plunge pool. It surpassed our expectations.

"Great hotel in a great location!!"

10.0

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 6 days at 3 on Camps Bay on a recent trip to Cape Town. It is a wonderful property with exceptional service and a fantastic breakfast to start your day. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one and they certainly succeeded. The views to the sea from the common areas are stunning. We were in a room at the back of the property which had a small balcony facing Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles. While we would have preferred a sea view and a slightly larger room, it did not diminish our pleasure at staying in this lovely, well cared for property.

"A bit of luxury"

10.0

We loved staying at this hotel. The manager called it a house and it certainly felt like you were staying in a place that felt like home. Every detail was catered for. You could go and sit on the terrace and help yourself to a beer or bottle of wine from the fridge, (this is called the Honesty Bar, as you have to log what you have and then they charge you the bill but it is minimal) dip in the plunge pool or just relax and enjoy the view or watch the sunset. The setting and the scenery around the hotel is to die for. Breakfast was abundant and very fresh. I can honestly say that I have never had fruit on a holiday abroad that included strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and mango. The room we stayed in was very comfortable but we saw some other rooms that were very luxurious and large and some had private access to the terrace or had private kitchen and catering facilities. There was a penthouse suite too that we were able to use if not privately booked. An amazing experience staying at this hotel.

"Must be best hotel in Camps Bay ..... Stay here. "

10.0

Where to start is a challenge. I have travelled for years as have the privilege of working in the travel industry. 3 on Camps Bay, with its intimate and exceptional team make this very special place one to never forget and one to return to. The house is extraordinarily beautiful. High quality spec and feels like home .... you are certainly treated like family and every member of the team were very special people people. Marcell is one of life's amazing humans who is not only exceptional at his job (GM) but has heaps of EQ and makes everyone feel incredibly comfortable. He is a consumate professional, top of his game with a very impressive professional profile which makes 3 on Camps Bay very lucky to have him. His respect of his gorgeous team and the lovely house owners is tangible and makes the whole experience feel very 'boutique' which this house most definately is. The views are breathtaking with direct view of the Atlantic Seaboard, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles. It's like being slap bang in the middle of a postcard! Breakfast ..... amazing. Especially menu 4. Honesty bar ..... incredible. Bottle of Porcupine SB same price as bottle of water here. Seriously. Lillian is one of the the most lovely ladies I have met but all the team were. Camps Bay is like Monaco, St. Clair, Nice ( but friendlier, less faf and much much cheaper) .... it is safe, beautiful and clean and very cosmopolitan. Go to Camps Bay and do not stay anywhere else.

"Staff nice - but call before booking"

6.0

The staff at 3 On Camps Bay were helpful. The communal areas, food and views were good. Our only concern was that the room we booked, in my opinion, should not qualify as guest accommodation. I was informed upon arrival that I had reserved a "self-catering" room - this was not indicated anywhere on my reservation, nor was this aspect a priority to us. The self-catering kitchenette's countertops were constructed of unfinished plywood - Reminiscent of student housing. The floor in the same area was exposed concrete. Quite bizarre. I was embarrassed to have realized what I had booked. I did select a "garden" view (vs ocean), but had I known that this room would be located in what was originally live-in staff's quarters, I would gladly have paid an incremental cost to book a better room. My advice: CALL the hotel to gain clarification as to what you are booking, BEFORE moving ahead.
