There was nothing I didn't like

The manager (Edson I think) was extremely helpful when I forgot my glasses upon departure. He sent them after me to Cape Town, perfectly packaged, and didn't even want to be paid for his efforts - outstanding service! The views over the Knysna River/Lake were very special despite the big storm, and I think in good weather must be pretty spectacular. The breakfast (ordered off the menu) was very good ,generous portions. Bungalow 2 had a (small) hot tub with great views (of course then the window fogs up). Make sure to go and have a look at The Heads (better view from the eastern side). It's a 5min drive into town, but if you have your own transport not an issue.

I stayed during a horrible storm. The cold front came with lots of rain and winds - everywhere trees were down, many on the roads, one women died from a falling tree in Knysna the day I arrived. So this obviously created some extreme circumstances, under which it's understandable that electricity was out, but WiFi was not fixed well past the electricity coming back. The vibe in the common area was pretty bad, probably due to the people staying at the time, but also the space does not invite social conversation at all, and the fire created a very strong smoke smell despite open doors.
