Afrodete Hotel

Angeliki is very warm and helpful. Great location.

We enjoyed our stay in Santorini. The Afrodete is just off the main road in Fira, and close to multiple tasty restaurants. You do not need to eat on the Caldera side unless you just want the sunset view. You are right on the edge of town, and thus away from the crazy crowds, which we liked. The room was clean and comfortable, serviced daily for clean towels and similar. There is a little plunge pool/spa for an afternoon cool off. The pool is a shared space, but has 4 sun chairs and was never full. The room included a mini-fridge which was great for keeping bottled water cold and a spot for our breakfast yogurts. The property has a spot to hang wet clothes if you wash anything (like swim suits). There is a steep driveway to get to the front of the property, but we found a back way from above that works great if you are coming down from Fira. There is a bus stop nearby, but that line only runs once an hour, pretty easy to walk down hill to the main bus station to get to places like Oia and the ferry port. If you have luggage, would recommend you take a shared taxi from the port to the hotel ($20 for 2 people) and then you can do the bus back to port for only $5 for 2 people. The staff at Afrodete was lovely, they helped us check bus schedules, provided pool towels and daily greetings as we came and went. They also rescued our clothes from the line before the rain! We would stay here again, it was quiet, cool and comfortable for a 5 day stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Afrodete Hotel. Firstly, its location couldn't be more ideal - it's near to the centre of Fira which is easily walkable. The hotel itself is clean and very comfortable. It's a hidden jewel when searching for hotels to stay in in Satnorini- I can't recommend it enough. Also Angeliki is extremely responsive and helpful with all manner of questions - from late check to local recommendations. Thank you!

Alexandros was an incredible host and made sure we were completely looked after. His home is lovely and was within walking distance to attractions and restaurants. We will definitely book again.

Nice, spacious and clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Angelique and reception during check in were very nice. Location is 15min walk from Fira Bus station and a few min walk to the Firestofani blue dome for sunset.

It was nice to have someone there to ask questions. The view was very nice. We were only a short walk to the busier area (3 or 4 mins) We really enjoyed our stay there

The room was confortable and clean. The staff was very helpfull to help us organise our activities. The bus Station of Fira is only 10 minutes away by walk from the hôtel. From there you can go to Santos Wine Winery, Oia, Black or Red Beach and also to the port for the ferry that goes to other Island for the price of 2€ per person. We will come back!

Friendly Staff, they go beyond to make your stay enjoyable, walking to restaurants, shopping and transportation, very quite little hotel and very good price.
